Same as the last few drafts for us, we will trying to correct again over the next few years. I don't see dominant DL guys, I see guys that are polar opposites of the free agent guys we tried out last season.

These guys will need time to develop, and we have nothing but time so it's all good.

Hope it works out, but I don't see it. Reaching is the 49er way at this point.

Considering how bad our DL was last year I have no issue with guys who are "polar opposite" to last year's pick ups.
If we are building for next year (which is what I'm thinking and want) this is a good draft. Now we just need OL / CB and we hit, we will be back. I'm not being a negative Nancy just keeping it real. I like the draft so far.
too early to tell but ill bet its Bassa next pick
Run on TE now it seems.

I think people are severely overlooking how easy the schedule is this year.

Paul JR will be the next pick if he is still on the board. There is a big dropoff at LB after him.

I'd love Poo Paul, could see a Tackle convert to play LG though.
I don't recall the last time I saw so many TEs picked in the first two rounds
Ah Seattle, another TE they won't utilize. Good pick. 😂
Mike green going to fall to the eagles or lions

Same.

Would like a higher OT pick like today.

I swear the team does not prioritize Oline like they should.
There goes everyone's draft crush lol

polar opposite in what way?
Cards are having a nice little draft, IMO.

Would love both of these:

ok, so why weren't you asking for us to pick Collins prior to him being selected if you watch so much college football? I've been watching college and NFL football since before you were born.

let me guess, your a 7on7 guy?

I didn't expect them to draft an NT early, just like I don't expect them to draft guards early, just like a lot of people didn't expect them to draft safeties early based on their prior history.

That said, there's absolutely nothing wrong with either pick, they fill critical needs on the defense. They haven't had a true nose tackle like Collins since maybe....Soap? Getting a true run stopper up the middle, a guy with a high motor that can do so much to cause problems for an offense will free up Warner and the LB's to do their thing.

That's all great, but since you watch so much football I would expect you to understand that the NFL is still a passing league. Grabbing guys who can't get to the QB at #11 isn't a winning formula (see; Eagles & KC).

Like I said, I hope it all works out but I don't see it. Drafting for need after spending all kinds of capital on the D-line isn't the way to go IMO.

I do love big strong D-linemen, so that's the only thing I see worth celebrating at this point. Also, we didn't add via F/A so this is who we are for now.
