Lmfao. Last I checked I wasn't comparing myself to pro scouts. Nice try though, we have years of receipts from you 🤣

Mac Jones signed a two year contract with us, what is he even worth in a trade right now?
I don't think the draft pick we would receive would be worth anything, 5th-6th round pick maybe?
Mac Jones completed 33 of 49 for 342 yards & 2 TDs in the 49ers' overtime win over the Rams.

Jones was particularly effective on passes under 10 air yards, finishing 28 of 37 for 258 yards and 2 TDs, the 2nd-most yards in a game on short passes this season.

id rather not trade Mac though, at least not this season. Let's see how things play out and what the options are in the off season.
He's much more valuable than a 2nd round pick rn. He's saved our season so far. If we had a normal backup qb - we would most likely be 1-4 rn.

Zero chance they trade him in season. If he's getting moved it's in the offseason.

What Mac Jones did last night was a statement to every player in the NFL.

Don't let anyone else write your story.
Loved the guts, the effort, and the story of last night's performance.

Mac won a lot of hearts last night. Grit and guts! Yeah!!!
He was reading the field and getting the ball out quick and accurately. AND, playing through obvious pain. Those calf cramps freakin' suck (I think most of us have felt those, yeah?)!
I can't help but have a cynical thought, though. Had Purdy had a similar game... I think many (some here, but many in the media) would have simply compared it to a Jimmy G-like performance. Short passes, under 10 air yards, letting the players make the plays for him. That kind of thing. Perspective is a funny thing.

Based on some of the recent conversations I've seen in the Purdy thread alone, I'd agree.
But throwing short passes wasn't really Jimmy's problem. It was forcing balls into coverage, whether short or intermediate routes, predetermining throws, and leaving big plays on the field within the structure of the offense. And of course he was made of glass.
Last night, against that defense, it made sense to get it out quick as possible and take what the defense gave them. That pass rush is no joke.
