I'm down with going into next year with Mac, It is very possible a teams QB gets hurt and we have them by the balls if they want to try and save their season

Agreed. Thought they shot for the moon too early with what they wanted in return & all the teams went another route quickly

It's great we are keeping Jones as a backup. If something random happens to Brock like last year, our season will not be over.

Im calling it now. This is Brock's last year here. Mac will be our starter next season. It makes too much sense. This is Kyle's preferred guy and Brock is way WAY overpaid. He's gotta go.
Mac is way more of a dawg than Brock. He'll play hurt and excel while doing so.

Amazing takes on Niner Talk as always, even though Brock has been excellent in his time here, including playing better than Jones last year.

Im not a fan of any one player over the team itself. I want who's best for the team and the 49ers will get more bang out of Mac jones who wouldn't command anywhere near what Brock is getting paid. It means we'll get to spend more on the players around Mac. It's kind of common sense if you are pulling for whatever will get this team to the promise land. Not so much if you are just a huge Brock purdy fan.

Brock Purdy is a better QB. How does getting rid of the better QB make any damn sense if the goal is to win?

I was right about not paying Brock (niners didn't have to pay him but they did anyway) and im right about this too. Most people are too emotional to see the obvious.
