Dude is out there killing himself for the team and you're talking about flipping him with a Qb1 that can't stay healthy and is declining. Let's hold the flipping talk a while and see what happens the rest of this year and maybe next. Brock has a lot to prove once he is healthy.. if he continues to play like this it will be impossible to let him go anywhere anytime soon. Dem just the facts.

When healthy Jones has ripped off 8-10 yards on the run without too much trouble.
So much respect for him after last night. The guy played his butt off and left everything on the field, even playing against the refs and all the late hits they put on him.

Just love the swag as well. The suit was hilarious and even him leading the way with the boombox bobbing his head. There's no way the players aren't responding to this and fighting their butts off when they see him doing it for them.

Yeah I don't want him to go anywhere. He has this team playing and there's no way we lose last week if he was in.
Hold onto him. He has a package that Purdy doesn't and yes, I think Purdy is made of glass. Mac has shown that he can carry this team and lead this team with his heart. He's bigger, stronger and I think his adversity has made him that way both utilizing his physical strength but more importantly, it has made him mentally stronger (adversity does that if handled the right way for all of us). I hate to say this but I would love to see Mac play against Tampa and Purdy have to be still resting that sore toe of his.
This signing could have saved our season. Dude is efficient and confident. Wouldn't take anything less than a 2nd rounder next offseason for him but happy to have him backup two years and a comp pick later.
I'm happy for Mac.

He needs to watch his back with 49er fans, though. The first time he loses and/or has a few costly turnovers they'll want him shipped to Siberia and never forgive him.
He has exceeded expectations and I know that we can take him into any game and he's going to be competent. He's doing the job of a QB and he's playing the game with what's between his ears and with what's in his chest. Sure he doesn't let us play 11 on 11 football but aside from that deficiency I've got no complaints and I'm glad he's been under center for us in relief of Brock and he may very well have to start the next couple of games for us just to be sure that Brock is fully healthy the next time he steps out there

Mac has balled with the B team against top tier teams and has netted us three wins with two of them being in division under those circumstances.

Impressive
He is good, but imo a healthy Purdy is better. There is no way either will be standing week 17 if this line play continues.

Have to admit, Mac is playing a helluva lot better than I expected. That being said, Purdy has that elusiveness in the pocket Mac will never have. And behind this line, that is a must.

100%

Purdy has much better pocket awareness, and Brock pulls off top tier layered, and anticipation throws. He flashes elite skills.

He (brock) also has horrible games when he snow balls mistakes and has a hard time staying on the field if other teams can get to him.

So Mac does have some real advantages to his game as well.

Right now, I am l loving this. We should all want Mac (or any qb) to push Brock. Brock should be watching these games and realizing there are multiple ways to skin a cat. We all love that Pury wants to make chunk plays, but with this line....getting the ball out your hands quickly and keeping the chains moving will win you games.

I dont think there is zero reason Purdy can't do what Mac is doing, just at a higher level....well minus getting obliterated snap after snap and some how staying on the field.

Honestly...what Mac Jones is doing is kinda what we wanted from Jim Druckenmiller all those years past... Purdy/Mac is kinda how we hoped Young/Druck would have went...

Purdy can't even see over the offense line, he can work from the pocket most of the game.
We lost Darnold after one season. We'll probably lose Jones as well if he has a couple more games like this. Someone will offer him more money and a chance to start. This is why I keep advocating for a change in the NFL that exempts QB salaries from ther cap so teams can afford to pay more for a good backup.
