2 years
absolute steal
I forgot it was 2 years, after tonight I am confident in him as a backup. We actually might be able to flip him for a significant pick or at least get a 3rd/4th comp. I'm not in the band camp of him being better than Purdy but given our history…

Flip him? I would be more concerned with how do we keep him. He runs this offense very efficiently. No hero ball. No mad scrambling to no end and built like a Mack truck. Dude is out there killing himself for the team and you're talking about flipping him with a Qb1 that can't stay healthy and is declining. Let's hold the flipping talk a while and see what happens the rest of this year and maybe next. Brock has a lot to prove once he is healthy.. if he continues to play like this it will be impossible to let him go anywhere anytime soon. Dem just the facts.

That was a great signing by the FO in March because he was potentially the best back up the team had since Jimmy G and Brock Purdy in 2022 and now in October it looks even better.
He's not the best QB on the team clearly but he's a good player and he's someone that can work with Kyle.
Signing him two years was such a great move by John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan.
There's some teams that will call the Niners.
He can be a starter in this league.

No worries on keeping him he's locked for 2 years but if a team offers a 2nd in that time I say pull the trigger. otherwise keep him as a backup and we'd still likely land a 3rd/4th comp

It would still be worth keeping him on board for next season if we can find the cap space

Just what we wanted from Mac -executing at a high level with that big arm of his. Exactly what a good Kyle Niners Teams looks like- fast arm QB, keeping the chains rolling and throwing in some variety to keep people guessing.
Really good night - well done Mac on just keeping it clean and getting it done. Awesome.

That two-year contract is looking better and better every day, but we're going to have to keep him alive until February to pull that off.
