Kyle as clearly looking for the next Josh Allen and that's why Lance but what they found is he wasn't as physically gifted as they thought he was and that combined with his unfinished state was not something they wanted to pursue after they saw Brock in action for nearly a full season

Lance went into a bad situation on a team that had to win now and he should have been drafted later as a developmental project on a team that had the situation to develop him

lol the same folks want to bring Trey's name out of no where and stir some s**t.

Trey, as a starter, played better more often than not with us. Won us an important game to keep our playoff hopes alive.. and he might have even helped beat those Rams in week 17 of that year..and who knows after that come playoff time.

Mac should look drastically better than Trey, if you take legit playing time into consideration, between the two. Mac had more big game experience in college and much more playing experience in the Pros, before playing for us.

We'll see what happens with Trey going forward, but he was good enough for Harbs and their Super Bowl aspirations for this year. If Herbert goes down Trey is up next. Just like when we went into the 2023 season with Trey as the starter during our Super Bowl window. Kyle saw enough to start him that year... Jimbo sees enough to trust for their season, if it ever comes down to it.

Jones, like Lance, wouldn't have been worth all they gave up to move to the third spot, but he still would have been available to them had they stayed at their original position, and at that point, would have been a far superior pick for their system. However, if they did, we might not have picked Brock the following year and I think Brock's mobility and mental toughness probably make him a better QB

Better anticipatory thrower with an overall better arm too.

Mac has been pretty good imo when you consider the injuries we're dealing with on offense. Our top 3 WRs in terms of snaps yesterday were Pearsall, Bourne, and Skyy Moore. Tonges has performed admirably, but he's no Kittle obviously.

I don't think Jones is nearly as good as Purdy, but he's done well with what he has to work with.

Also he didn't make any bad decisions aside from that one interception I believe. He's been playing fairly well with a mid group of weapons aside from Pearsall and Mccaffrey. When Brock comes back he needs to play on par or better than Mac has the past few weeks.
He's started two games. He's won both. That's all that counts.

Nah.

According to many guys here all that matters is if they like the QB on a personal level.

I feel like you're just TRYING to start s**t. All I've seen on here is people talking good about Mac Jones. And if anything you're dwelling on one or two comments made. f**kin grow up and learn to chill.

FWIW If Josh Allen didn't complete 60% of his passes till his 3rd season in the NFL. He also missed 4 games his rookie year with an elbow injury, while having just 2 TDs and 5 INTs while completing 54% of his passes. Had the backup QBs come in and played well who knows were Allen is right now.

lol check his PFF scores the last 2 weeks. 🗑

He barely pulled out two wins we should have won comfortably. If James Conner doesn't get hurt today we lose.

Its weird that there are people who actually prefer Mac over Purdy.
He was graded lower for doing more against the Saints and graded higher for doing less against Cardinals.

Jennings and Kittle were both out. Don't play the what if game.

Brock is light years ahead of Mac Jones but I agree Mac played damn good given the situation he was thrown into. He played big boy football 🏈

True. That's why I said Trey went into a less than ideal situation because this team was full of vets that thought they could win now and were already in love with Jimmy and you could tell the moment Trey got hurt it felt like they were relieved and then when Brock came in and did what he did Trey was traded that offseason. Went from starter to injured to third string. He's in a good spot now with a coach that will tailor the offense to his skill set and experience level if something happens to Herbert

Kyle immediately said when Brock took over how easy it was to coach him and he fell in love with what Brock brought to the table so that's that
