Interesting that his PFF grade was so low (58.6). Not really sure why.

Thats crazy and to see Rattler's score was 20 points higher is even crazier. Both QB's played well and I don't understand how someone can say Rattler played that much better than Mack.

Some people on here told yall that Mac, at the time of the draft, was better than Trey Lance would ever be.
They were mocked, shunned, banned even. Yet proven right soon after and just made a lot of this board look silly. Especially that New York guy.
it is pretty cool watching him come in and drop sack on everybody

Riiiiiight ... Mac Jones would have been worth that pick.

We saw how Mac did when he was a guy. He bombed. Let's not revise history.

What we're seeing now is a guy with what,...over 50 career starts,...playing against NO?

I mean,...who wouldnt expect him to be more ready for the moment now compared to back then when he obviously wasnt.
He throws touchdowns and wins games.

More evidence that PFF is irrelevant.

PFF is dumb. They say Brendel is a great player. Watch the games and you can see he's not.

I can see this dude leaving after this year. There is always a team desperate enough

He has a two year contract...unless he is traded he isn't leaving.

Mac is loving this playing time he's using it like Darnold did to get that pay day on another team. Good for Mac.

Idk the exact formula but I'd assume because he missed a handful of throws because he misplaced the ball, he is at fault for the strip sack, things like that.
- for example, that pass to brayden willis was poorly placed - almost caused an interception. Willis made a nice defensive play on it. things like that.

Mac wasn't amazing or anything, he had a solid game. If you sit back and watch his play objectively - his stats look better than his play, IMO.
As a whole, I'm happy with his performance. Especially for his first time in this system etc. His PFF grade just doesn't surprise me - he didn't go superman out there.
PFF is run by guys who were the first to be knocked out in dodge ball and the last ones picked for any team sport. There is absolutely no rhyme or reason to the grading.

He's probably in his mind a bit jealous that the boy he took care of during an Alabama recruiting visit is now the guy he's backing up.

I'm just happy that the 49ers have a backup quarterback that doesn't make me think "well if the kicker makes like four field goals and the defense holds the other team to ten points, the 49ers can still win!"

I wouldnt call it irrelevant as i think its a good tool to use, heck its the only one us fans have, but it shouldnt be the only measuring stick.
