Such high expectations for a guy who can't move and throws interceptions like they are giveaway tshirts. He will likely be out of the game with a concussion by the first half. Poor pass protection, clogged running lanes don't end well for a backup who is not mobile and lacks Brock's anticipation skills. My lord, hope I am wrong but we all know what to expect.

You're just full of good cheer, aren't you?

I agree, Dobbs was horrible and Sam Darnold was a QB looking to find himself again.
Lol yeah so glad Brandon Allen is gone..was so over them saying, "He's our guy, he's great." Lol
When I first watched footage of Mac Jones years back, I was impressed with how quick his release was...like a flick of the wrist.... seemed like no windup. It looked like he was throwing a dart. I haven't watch many of his Patriots or Jags games...just highlights here and there, so not sure if he brought or kept that up in the NFL.

Bro's got a noodle arm all the same. He's a very mechanical driven QB, who depends on timing for success. He's not creating and extending plays.

personally I thought he was gonna be much better pre/post snap coming into the league. Hopefully we don't need him for more than a week or so. That OL isn't gonna hold up for him and what he needs imo.

I knew at some point I would have to root for McCorkle Hope he crushes it
So where are all the Mac lovers from the draft pumping this guy up....lol.

BUT the OL is ranked 12th? Isn't that good?

The worst two were Mike Florio and Chris Simms. If Jones has a good run, we wont ever hear the end of it from those two idiots. They have been butt hurt since Kyle didn't draft Jones in the first place.

Well all those who always wanted Mac Jones to be the starting QB for the 49ers finally get their wish this Sunday.
My curiosity is piqued. We get to see what would happen if we spent 3 firsts on this guy.

Are they really ranked 12th? If it's only after 1 game not really a big deal but I guess not bad.

Bro it's years later after Mac has learned stuff from others and gained NFL experience. He's not a rookie coming into the league with the pressure of those picks being given up to get him. Not to mention to difference in the roster from then to now.
Jones isn't as good as Brock but he does have 4 years of starts and has over 10,000 yards passing. His completion % is 66 so it's not much different than Purdy's. You have to consider that he didn't have the level of talent around him either so hopefully he'll be okay for 2 or 3 weeks.
Dude is a statue stuck in concrete. Must run a 6.0 forty yard dash. Behind this offensive line he could get knocked out in the first series. Hope they have a good backup ready and mobile guy.
