lets hope he balls outta control.

Agreed. I hope like hell we can run the ball the next few weeks
Mac Jones was good enough in 2021 to be considered a future franchise QB.

Then Josh McDaniels (the Patriots OC in 2021) left and that's when everything seemed to go to crap. Since then, Mac's OC's have been Joe Judge, Bill O'Brien and Press Taylor. Even Trevor Lawrence couldn't make Taylor look good.

We're going to have to hope that this offense is Mac's bread and butter like in Alabama or New England in 2021 and that he can hold down the fort for a few weeks. I'm not asking for 10-0. Just asking for 2-1 pretty please!

A lot of fans forget that he had a pro bowl rookie year and led the pats to the playoffs - that's when he had McDaniels as his OC. He wasn't perfect but had a nice year.

After that, he had horrible coaches on the offense and then was at sh!t shows of a team in Jacksonville where no one has done much.

this is about as good as a situation Mac can ask for and I know we are all excited to see him.

How funny would it be if he led us to the Super Bowl and won it after the whole 2021 draft situation. Lmaoo would be wild af

LMAO. I'm concerned but I'll remain optimistic that we can win until proven otherwise. If the o line plays well and then D does its thang - we should have a really good chance.

let's hope Pinera wins all our hearts over by banging in all his attempts 😍😍🥹

49ers week 2

No Kittle, No Purdy..everything is fine! Lol
Ugh...

That's really all I can say. I was praying we'd never have to see Mac Jones play meaningful snaps on the 49ers.

I hope I'm wrong about the guy cuz we need to stack the wins but ugh...
Great opportunity for Mac Jones here. Big issue is not having Kittle to bank on but Kyle and the team will come up with some creative ideas.

Hopefully RBs can punch some holes and keep us moving.

He looked fairly good in preseason play with a very vanilla offense. You know Kyle doesn't give up his playbook for those games. But he still did fairly well. Like Darnold, he has the experience of starting for an NFL franchise. Many years of experience.

I'm hopeful that Kyle can keep Mac out of trouble and that strong running game can also help. Plus, it's the Saints. If they aren't the worst team in the NFL, I'm not sure who is. New Orleans has an old Alvin Kamara, and some decent receivers. Yet, the team lacks a QB that can sling the ball effectively. I swear Rattler can't be taller that four or five feet.
Well all those who always wanted Mac Jones to be the starting QB for the 49ers finally get their wish this Sunday.

He's gonna ball out. Remember that annoying meme during the draft days and he was filmed in a bar dancing yelling show me the money-drunk out of his mind? I loved that one when I was team Lance and laughing back in the day. Well this is his chance. He knows his future as a starting QB all comes down to these chances. I bet he nails it.

I also bet Purdy out three games.

Nope. Week 5 Thursday game. My bet is Kittle, BA and Brock all back week 6. Just need Mac to go 2-3
The biggest thing is how often Purdy gets out of trouble with his legs, Mac isn't going to do that I expect a lot drives being stalled due to sacks and god forbid he gets hurt too

Good post. Hoping for the best with Jones in.

Jones: CMC needs to become your best friend on the field. Get the ball to him early & often…let him and guys like Pearsall & Jennings do their jobs and help you out. You do this and play your game while limiting your mistakes, this team will have an excellent chance to win.

We don't even need him to play hero ball....we have a great defence so don't force the ball....if nothing is there throw it away and live for the next set of downs. Just don't throw picks or take deep sacks. If our O-Line can hold up I thing Jones is going to be fine.
The one silver lining I see is since Mac was a back up he practiced with all the backups… so he should have a good familiarity with all the other backups playing now.
