It's like some of you just won't admit it until you see Brock go down like Theisman or Alex Smith.

We went to the Superbowl 2 years ago with this line. Not saying it's eagles level but stop being a drama queen
A better line with depth may have won it for us. Arguing that the oline is fine or even average is absurd. The line is trash. The center is trash. The backups to TW and Puni are recycled trash. Facts. You keep telling yourself it's fine while we piss away an easy schedule with another losing season. Another year of Brock running for his life.. no line and no one to throw to is not a good formula for success.

It's not an "easy schedule"
What is your actual solution to the line? Like a specific solution not just "do something!".

It's like the backup QB issue. It's always a compromise.

Fine we have the least hardest schedule in the league.
Funny how when all the sites review the O lines in the league the 9ers O line is never rated trash. Espn has us 12th for example.

Even that is simplistic. The 49ers have 3 games different than the other NFC West teams, so that means they have 14 the same. Those 3 games were the 3 worst teams in their division last year, that doesn't mean they will be the worst 3 in that division this year.

Trent and Puni are actually good ... the others are functional. Some teams have no stars on their lines.

How are they rated in pass protection the past 5 years……thanks.

Most niners fans don't dig into other teams OL (understandable) so they don't realize how dire OL play across the league is.

It's funny because a team like the giants has thrown pick after pick at the OL.... And it doesn't help them.

I think everyone would love an elite OL but the average fan seems to just think it happens like magic. It's coaching, and a lot of luck (skill/injury/etc)

How are they rated? What are we talking about true pass sets or what? Pass pro is also heavily influence by play call, receivers ability to get open and the QB making the correct read quickly.

im with you that the OL needs to be better and they gotta start infusing actually talent in there. Pass pro can be manipulated a little bit though.

A legit center would help this OL a ton imo

As have the Texans and Bengals. It's not about where you draft the players, it's about who you draft.

Leverage the Saints financial issues and impending terrible season and get Erik McCoy.

Hell I'd do it before trade deadline even if he doesn't play much this year. Though he did have Kubiak for his OC so he should be familiar with some calls on offense.

I always believed in Mac Jones.
Sigh....
