I would not trade Jones unless some crazy team offered a first rounder for him. Can't trust that Purdy will hold up, and unless you're willing to replace Mac with a certified backup (think Kyle's wet dream Kirk Cousins), I would keep him around for 2026 as an insurance policy.

It just depends on what the offer is, like you said.

I'd be surprised if a team makes an offer in that neighborhood (like a 1st, or a 2nd and a 3rd etc) but who knows.

Trade him? Why would you trade a guy who is more durable and arguably better than the current starter? I think you figure out how to at least keep them both. What is crazy is Mac has a higher market value than purdy. We have a qb1 with negative equity. It's like paying more for a car than it's worth but you have to have it… you drive it for a year or two and it's not what you thought it would be. Your stuck with it, cant get rid of it because nobody else is stupid enough to pay that much. That is the situation we are in now.

Because there is absolutely zero logical argument that he is better than the current starter. Pretty simple.
I say keep him

However

If Shnanny wants to give his buddy, Lil Woody, a call down in Miami... Minkah Fitz and a pick for Big Mac

Tua misses a lot of time and has bad games. Jones can light a fire under dat ass or outright take the job... some competition ain't bad

That's actually a decent fit but feels like McDaniel is a dead man walking in that job idk

The owner mentioned a couple weeks ago that he will not let Woody go and that his job is safe... seems like the team is still trying to win.

Mike doesn't even have to school him since he's already got the system down from here maybe Mike would also throw in a 4th. Jets is the team the media is throwing out there, but Miami has the better offense for Mac I guess

This. And, IMO, would take Tua's job.

At this point, he fits well in Miami. Saints is a maybe.

I feel less confident about Tua's job security than Mike's. Between his play and bumps on the head, I'd be looking for his replacement. Mac has proven durable as well.
It's safe to say you ain't go nowhere bro!

Still going to get traded with a good offer.
I think Mac Jones can see a path to this being his team. Brock is opening that path for him.

Nope!

Purdy has not been trending well.

Do not trade him
Jones is not getting traded. He is worth more to the 49ers than he will get if he were released on the open market. He is also not going to replace Brock Purdy anytime soon. Kyle made that clear.

So what's he going to do ? Be the water boy ? Kyle better figure s**t out with brock or strike when the irons hot on a trade.
