lol this is furthest from the truth.

I've never seen anyone make excuses for Brock's turnovers. People are generally pretty hard on him. It's probably because he was the last pick in the draft. He doesn't get the benefit of the doubt that a first round pick like Mac gets.

Mac is a 1st round pick that most people felt was a bust. It looks like he's another in a long list of QBs that get drafted by a bad team and then struggle. Look how Darnold has flourished now that he's with a better team. Daniel Jones is looking much better now too after getting out of NY. Coaching, scheme and supporting cast are all needed for any QB to perform well. The ability of the QB to adapt to the scheme determines how well he will do in any given situation. Baker Mayfield was a train wreck in Cleveland. Now he's matured and performing like a pro bowl QB.

Very hard on him. I'm not even a huge Brock fan but find myself constantly defending him from, what I feel, is unfair criticism. Everytime he throws a pick that hit a receiver right in the hands it's Purdy's fault. I was wondering how the 'Zone would react when Mac threw one and it feels quite the opposite from Brock. But, perhaps cuz it's just his first one.

It depends on the posters. I definitely don't think the energy has been the same for both QBs but everyone is different.

Lots of people like to bring up turnovers for Brock and just concentrate on the total vs what actually happened on each play. Obviously his contract puts a lot of people on the "save the excuses" side but to me those details are important. Lots of ugly looking interceptions are a result of QB and receiver being on the wrong page.

Disagree.

This is what I don't get, time after time. A football forum where ppl disregard details or maybe just really don't watch except for lame commentators. Or just dnt understand what the hell is going on..or maybe they just like to hear themselves talk. Or all of the above. Reality is explained and there is still no understanding. Kind of annoying. And maybe that's on purpose as well..to get attention by being annoying like the commentators they must watch. They might just wanna be Nick Wrights. Cool. Yes, I am in a bad mood still over Fred lol.

So true

Lol you guys can't be serious. Every one of Purdys picks this year haven't been because of him lol. They've been tipped or the WR ran the wrong route
Congrats on that bonus!

Played good considering the circumstances.

The line looked the worst it's been in years until Brendel was injured. I don't think purdy could have done much better honestly with the way the line was.
Played better then the stats show. Did what we needed from him for the win. A good game manager type of game.
Dont think he was sharp at all tonight but his throw to CMC was a strike and set up the win.
Managed the game, solid overall, but again was lucky not to lose a fumble.

Int definitely wasn't his fault though. The Robinson drop hung him out to dry too.

I've got to give props to Mac Jones. He's a pretty good quarterback. I remember how maligned he was in these forums when the 49ers had the third overall pick and he was the potential projected pick of the 49ers. Absolutely shouted down by all of the Trey Lance worshipers if you suggested having a good accurate pocket passer who can execute Shanahan's offense wouldn't be such a bad thing. Now he's 4-1 as the backup forced to start. We are fortunate to have two pretty good quality QBs on the roster and will probably need them both.

$400k tonight and another $100k for every win thereafter. He's making bank this season.
