First one wasn't his fault. Those always look ugly in this offense but Bourne wasn't where he should be.
it is his fault also, even though KB screwed up too

McKorkle made his decision already to throw that way no matter what... just like the last INT.

No going through progressions or anything, he just threw it

This is how this offense works. Purdy does ghe same thing. It's called timing and anticipation. It happens to other QBs too. If they throw to where the WR is supposed to be and he goes the other way it will look ugly. Play is there if Bourne runs the right route.

The key thing is that Jones is hot. You're not going through progressions (what would amount to a full field read here) when there's a free rusher.

This offense is not designed to go to the first progression no matter what. It's a take what the defense gives you.

It is 3rd & short and you know Bowles is going to blitz so you're gonna be hot becaue you can't expect to have time with this O-line in that situation.

Mac did the right thing. Bourne ran the wrong route. Period.
People never made this many excuses for the QB turning the ball over when Purdy was under center.

If Mac did the right thing he would have hit the open option running down the sideline instead of forcing it to his bro

That pass was doomed even if KB didn't screw up. Mac was off all game

I mean, tbh this is true. Mac had a bad game. It's not that big of a deal.

We have to hold guys accountable by the same standard. Hopefully if he has to start again he bounces back.

'Running open down the sideline.'

lol this is furthest from the truth.
The results of the games this year would be about the same no matter who was at QB. The QB play hasn't been the problem. It's the lack of a running game and having none of the starting receivers available. It's the inconsistent line blocking. The lack of pressure on the opposing QB. The lack of turnovers being forced by the defense.

I watched some of the games last night. The Bears got their 8th INT of the season. The Niners haven't had ONE in 12 games. That's an NFL record that no team wants. Something is really wrong with the defense when they go that long without an INT. Maybe it's the way they're being taught to play. Not being aggressive enough. I don't know but it's puzzling and it has to change. INTs and fumble recoveries can take a lot of pressure off the offense by giving them better fieeld position.

I've never seen anyone make excuses for Brock's turnovers. People are generally pretty hard on him. It's probably because he was the last pick in the draft. He doesn't get the benefit of the doubt that a first round pick like Mac gets.
