You have had 3 injuries in your already average throwing arm and you're not going to carry the team if the roster lacks talent. Nothing against you, we like you and we want you to be our QB but at this moment we need to see more from you to give you a huge contract with a lot of guaranteed money.

So you wanna do a holdout?

Ok we're getting Zach Wilson and we'll give him all the 1st team reps in the off-season so while you're holding out, Zach will be developing chemistry with the receivers for months and you know he is way more physically gifted than you.

Are you sure that you can take his job inmediately when you decide to come back in september?

Nothing personal Brock because these are only business.

Paraag is that you?

No it's Grant Cohn.

Ok, at this point, 40% of poll responders are willing to pay Purdy up to 60 million, and 64% are willing to pay him up to 55 million.

Laughing is the correct response. Presumably Trey Lance is more physically gifted than either of them. There is always risk for a starting QB to lose their job if another person starts playing, but making the argument that Brock should be afraid of Zach Wilson because Wilson is stronger is a joke.

Hmmm, I just thought more about a Zach Wilson signing. Him making Purdy sweat is laughable, but if I am Zach Wilson I would take a pay cut on the market in order to get trained by Kyle Shanahan as a backup QB. It worked out well for Sam Darnold. Of course, you have to decide if you believe the improvement for Sam is the result of the 49ers or the Vikings.

Clearly Vikings, he didn't look great when he played here.

Jimmy G. & Beathard post Shanahan?

I think it looks less and less like the 49ers would need to sign a player to threaten Brock out of a holdout in any case.
Purdy's agent probably like "Welps, now we need that Josh Allen money. Brock won more playoff games than him you know."

We should have signed Kinlaw back to b***h slap him then.

And get laughed out of the building on two fronts:

1. Claiming that Brock has won more playoff games than Allen.

2. That he deserves the same type of money as Allen regardless of playoff wins.
