too many gaps to consider this team a viable contender. Just the gaps in the trenches alone proves that.

with a weak schedule we'll probably make the playoffs, although I wouldn't be surprised if it was a WC berth without the division crown. And no way we can compete with Detroit Philly and possibly even GB or Washington unless they sustain massive amounts of injuries like Detroit did this last year.

another fools gold season where the masses will be impressed by another fruitless playoff appearance.

If we make the playoffs it's probably 1 and done and a wild card. Too many holes on this team. We are in rebuilding mode. We need to rebuild the offensive and defensive line. Safety is a need. Another CB would be good. LB could be a need depending on the health of Greenlaw. This roster is not like the Eagles. Where it's almost complete everywhere you look. They hit on a lot of draft picks. We miss and trade them away. That's a big part of the difference.
Still not providing anything to prove your lame takes I see

we whooped the eagles ass

That was a different year. We had more talent, less injuries, slightly younger guys. We got old guys who are injured with bloated contracts who are declining. The Eagles also lost some free agents. Then replaced them with draft picks. Some of the really good guys are young guys they brought in from the drafts. Look at 2000 - 2024 drafts. Versus our drafts 2000 - 2024. It's night and day. Light years different. Not even in the same galaxy. They are building with young, athletic, healthy players in the draft. Meanwhile we miss, bust and trade away our picks. I'm not surprised they win and we can't.

Think about how Eagles fans felt going into last offseason?

if anything what they did should show how one offseason can take a team with real holes to another level.

We may not have the OL foundation they had in place but we were in the SB with almost the same OL the year prior. For this year it's LG and C that need replacement.

The Eagles had a GREAT offseason. But as you said I think they had a much better offensive and defensive line FOUNDATION. They drafted some young guys who they were bringing along for years. Not all just 1 years draft. They were bringing along young talent on both lines. Most of them played and won in this Super Bowl year. Mostly we don't pick lines. At least as much and as high as they do. Eagles and Lions build TRENCHES. We haven't so far. I think we are more than 1 year away. But if we start building the lines we can build this back up. We need a re do of both lines. TW is getting older. Bosa is about it on the defensive line. Puni is the only young rising star we have on offensive line. We got lots of sub par and average guys beyond that. If we had powerhouse lines a 1 year turnaround is easier. This can still be turned around. I just think it's more like 2 - 3 years now. Too many holes to fill in 1 offseason.

You're not wrong about the foundation however the majority of that foundation was there prior year when we beat them 42-19 where we had a lot of those same holes we have now. Especially when you recall Greenlaw was ejected from that game early on.

I wish Kyle put more value in the OL but we've also accomplished a lot with talent wise on the OL being a far cry from the Eagles so while our foundation there isn't anywhere the Eagles had but we can improve on what was there in the SB the year prior.

We also saw what a good DC can do with a roster to go from a liability to excellent. Sure Eagles had some terrific additions with Baum and Mitchell/DeJean but why can't we do something similar?

Now maybe we can't, we'll see but certainly the discussion here is where we stand. I believe we have enough talent to build on quickly. Now we wait and see whether the moves we make will give us a big time bounce back or not.

I'm definitely confident that Kyle with a healthy roster can get the offense to produce and I trust Saleh to do something similar with the defense if they're healthy.

Eagles stayed healthy, they got the calls to go their way and had a great roster that was able to put it all together in the big game.

Very well stated and yes other than Puni and FA Hargrave, we have tried but failed to fill holes by sub par FAs. This year is year one of we hit on the draft and have another one next year like we did a few years back. Then we should be better prepared to make a run at the top. Our stars may be older but as long as we draft well and pick up good FAs we will have a shot. I like last years draft and going for 2 more we should be ok.

I feel like they have been all in the last 3 yr. that is how the team has become one of the oldest team in the league. They where all in when the signed Hargrave and traded for McCaffrey. Today they're both older player and both are injured. They can run it back again. I think if they do run it back everything would have to fall perfect for them to win. No injury's, Deebo having a great year, Aiyuk back as full speed. Trent Williams not getting Injured. I do not see this happening, so I think they need to rebuild. It's only a one or two yr rebuild they are not that far off. Trade down and used extra pick in second and third rounds on OL, DL, LB and draft a free safety. They need Depth so they can withstand and Injury to the DBs, DL or OL. I do not think they need to make any big moves like trading away Bosa or trade for Myles Garrett. Yes I would love to have Myles Garrett but then they will have no draft picks to build the team depth I was talking about. They are lacking depth on the team because they trade 3 fists for a QB that didn't work out. Because they traded up in the third round to draft RBs that where not that good. Because they draft a Kick in the third round. Because they have trade and used how many second third and forth round picks on WRs. Because of how many pick they trade for McCaffrey. The team is missed depth on every leave.
Might be time to click on that rebuilding option. BC, if the rumors are true, we rebuilding.
Deebo is gone.

Should have started the rebuild last of season.. Dbo should have been gone, Trent, and CMC should have been gone.
Total rebuild time. We have the QB if we sign him and a lot of old people.

sorry to ruin your dreams
Being healthy. Lack of injuries is the reason for the Eagles run.

This year will be about getting back to the "Show".
Depends on the moves , we go and trade for Garrett and they in it to win it, we will see what their intentions is soon
Team rebuild is looking more and more likely.
