The SB is at Levi's. The idea of a rebuild is foolish imo. We still have too many impact players under contract for this year and likely to not go anywhere to consider it a rebuilding year.
You have your franchise QB(the contract will be done and whether people like it or not they will have to accept it)
You have a draft whose strength falls very well with your top needs(DL and IOL) and you have Saleh being brought in as the DC.
Kyle and John understand the expectations are still high and understand they don't have the large runway after the down year last season.
They will be all in for this season but I don't see them making huge moves with a lot of draft capital being given up because they've seen both the Eagles and Rams have quick turnarounds on the strength of rookies.
So I see them being aggressive in FA at key spots but I think the bigger moves may happen mid season assuming we're not bleeding like last year.

I feel the same than last year.
If we win the Super Bowl I'll be extremely happy just like eveyone else but I'm not expecting it.
We're not one player away and Purdy isn't going to carry a less talented roster so we need talent, talent, talent and that's why I just want BPA in the draft.
We have around 7 or 8 holes to fill in the roster. If we can fill 4 holes this off-season (2 in FA and 2 in the draft) with our soft schedule we'll win 12 or 13 games but exactly because of our soft schedule I won't really think that this team will win the Super Bowl.
12-win season with a loss in the divisional round considering where we are now is gonna be an ok season to me.

We have so many holes on the roster it is fair to say it's a "rebuild". I think it will take a minimum of two great draft cycles to restock the roster. There are many pieces to build around for the future. The 11th pick and 4 in the top 100 in the 2025 draft puts us in position to fill some of those holes with impact guys.
How well we do in FA and the Draft + UDFA will determine what kind of season we will have, but we'll have to add some pretty dramatically impactful people to the roster for us to suddenly become a Super Bowl contender again in 2025. I still think it will take two great draft classes. We need to kill it in the draft moving forward or this regime's days are numbered.

Where do you think the holes are that you think can't be at least patched up this year for a quick bounce back?

For those of you in here who think we are just fine and only need a piece or two before we are contenders I offer you this. How about I just name the position we are good at and the rest are the holes.
QB1
RB
RB2/3
WR2/3
TE 1
FB- unnecessary but whatever
PUNI
TRENT W maybe (old injuries)
Bosa
Sam oku
Fred
DMO
green
Mustapha
wishnawski
The rest are holes created by a lack of talent or departure for more cash. We have very little to offer depth wise and are depleted for special teams. The o line and d line are screaming for help. We don't have a WR1 until October and that assumes he can regain his form. Expectations need to be tempered. Got a lot of work to do.

No middle class on this team. We have upper class players and lower class. Economies and teams are built by the middle class.
too many gaps to consider this team a viable contender. Just the gaps in the trenches alone proves that.
with a weak schedule we'll probably make the playoffs, although I wouldn't be surprised if it was a WC berth without the division crown. And no way we can compete with Detroit Philly and possibly even GB or Washington unless they sustain massive amounts of injuries like Detroit did this last year.
another fools gold season where the masses will be impressed by another fruitless playoff appearance.

If we make the playoffs it's probably 1 and done and a wild card. Too many holes on this team. We are in rebuilding mode. We need to rebuild the offensive and defensive line. Safety is a need. Another CB would be good. LB could be a need depending on the health of Greenlaw. This roster is not like the Eagles. Where it's almost complete everywhere you look. They hit on a lot of draft picks. We miss and trade them away. That's a big part of the difference.

That was a different year. We had more talent, less injuries, slightly younger guys. We got old guys who are injured with bloated contracts who are declining. The Eagles also lost some free agents. Then replaced them with draft picks. Some of the really good guys are young guys they brought in from the drafts. Look at 2000 - 2024 drafts. Versus our drafts 2000 - 2024. It's night and day. Light years different. Not even in the same galaxy. They are building with young, athletic, healthy players in the draft. Meanwhile we miss, bust and trade away our picks. I'm not surprised they win and we can't.

Think about how Eagles fans felt going into last offseason?
if anything what they did should show how one offseason can take a team with real holes to another level.
We may not have the OL foundation they had in place but we were in the SB with almost the same OL the year prior. For this year it's LG and C that need replacement.

we also had a great draft this past offseason.
they are not light years a ahead of us in anyway.
you did this with the chiefs and now your sucking off the eagles to prove lame personal feelings

It's funny to me that you have Sam O as one of the guys not thought off as holes but left off Malik Collins.
Maybe I have a different definition of holes.
Holes to me are clear lack of starting caliber player or a starter weak to the level where they're a clear liability.
The clear holes for me are
C
LG
DT - Collins is a solid starter but not great vs the run and only under contract for another year.
Holes that could open up by our FAs leaving
LB - Greenlaw is a must keep for me
S - I think Brown and Mustafa can be and may be the starting duo but can't trust Brown after the poor season last year. I don't think we keep Hufanga but it's possible.
CB - Green and Lenoir are legit so we need a guy to either move Dmo to nickel or outside. Don't see Ward coming back.
Needs for future
OT - McKivitz actually was one of the few guys who actually didn't regress last year but we can still improve there and he's got one year left on his deal. Trent can retire at any point and his ankle isn't getting any better.
TE - Will need a replacement for Kittle eventually and need a TE2 now.
Overall I think the free agent class and the draft class line up pretty well with our main needs.
I believe we'll have a major push to sign a FA Center and I think LG and potentially McKivitz replacement can be achieved in the draft. Hell we have some guys who can fill in at LG and give us better play than Banks did last year.
Definitely expect us to add to DL via FA and the draft and it's a great class for that to happen.
Also a great TE class.
As far as the offense goes and missing Aiyuk if CMC is healthy we'll be fine until he's back.
We have enough elite players that filling in the holes regardless of your definition of it should be possible.
