What do you think this year will be about?

No one knows the future. One thing we cannot deny, though, is that the Niners are at a crossroads, right now. We hear rumors of being all in this coming season; especially with the Super Bowl being held in Santa Clara. But are they not all-in every season? Or at the very least, for your hard earned money, shouldn't they be? Admittedly, there have been times where the Niners took their lumps--whether it was their own stupid mistakes or Fortuna's desire to curse us, again, for the Joe Montana trade--and really did not have a chance at championship glory. Damn the fact that the Super Bowl is in Santa Clara, it has before, and we did not win it that year. Super Bowl 50 was in Santa Clara, we were an abysmal 5-11. AND WE ALL KNOW WHO COACHED THEM!

No, history does not repeat itself, but it sure does rhyme. In hindsight, that Niner team had no business dreaming of the Super Bowl. While this team is far more talented, it is also older and more expensive. This brings me to the point of this poll. What do you think this year will be about? All in to win? Or a rebuild, where we see MANY, not just a few, but MANY niners hit the streets looking for new teams. Or do you see something else? Something in between that likely will not satiate anybody's desires on either side of the question.

Why ask this now? Because we have a bit of time till free agency and the draft. Now is the time for speculation, not later. Later, we will be living with the results. For now, we speculate.

This season happened for a reason, because it had to. Without it, we'd probably made the playoffs if not for the injuries, but OL and DL had to be addressed. It just happened we end up with a nice couple of high picks in the draft to address those concerns, because of this past season. Everything happens for a reason, it just happened to be for us, just in the nick of time.

My guess is another lame ass redemption tour like last time. All our players love to talk but then fall flat when it matters most in the SB. Hopefully they all just shut up this off season.
I like to think this team will do what the Bucs and Rams did and say "man… we have a chance to win a Super Bowl in our stadium… let's go all in!" but idk if we will or if that's even the best idea…
It's a rebuilding year. Without people realizing it we are already rebuilding.
Definitely a year to rebuild and refresh the roster. Incremental progress. A winning record would be nice, playoffs? Sure but no expectations for anything more than an appearance. We have a long way to get back to contention for a ring. I am ok with that. Kyle and Company have a very long road ahead of them but I think he can build a winner in the next 3 years. We need to get younger, bigger and faster.
With the schedule we have and some good draft picks, we make the playoffs fs. I have been super optimistic about us making the SB again for LX but not sure. I think maybe we win 9 or 10 games, make the playoffs.Thank goodness we don't have Fart Man! 💨. Kyle needs to win it all already and quit fookin' around during crunch time . This is really his time to go all in, build a great team and if not this year, maybe, hopefully in the next couple we get the Six. Lifting the trophy high for the faithful in SC would be amazing, let's see how bad they want it , it is theirs for the taking, just gotta go grab that f-in thing already
Starts with OTAs and training camp. Everyone showing up ready to go with focus. Coaches need to re establish work ethic and motivation.

Lets get back to physical football on both sides of the ball with a strong run game and run defense. Establish both lines of scrimmage and play with a high level of compete.

I definitely think we could miss the playoffs again. We are rebuilding right now without people realizing it. They missed on so many draft picks the last several years and gave away three 1st rounders for Trey Lance. We dug a deep hole. This is not a retool. We are rebuilding. It could be 3 years to get out of this if they do draft and FA really well. We have to get younger, faster, more healthy, more durable. Aging guys with bloated contracts who are declining isn't going to cut it anymore. We have to rebuild the trenches too. On both sides.
should brock walk or should the contract rock and shock as top paid jock bcb
I think they will handle the regular season against a light looking schedule, the NFC West is winnable next year. I think expectations going into the playoffs will be inflated also because of the schedule. They could win a home playoff game and perhaps even a road win after that but running into a team like the Eagles or other top teams will be tough to get past

This is always the correct answer.
I believe the rebuild is happening. Signing expensive older vets is just to risky and imo will likely set us back, even though it brings a shot of excitement when we do that. Let's get younger and draft good cheaper players and not spend big $ on more aging vets. That way we can be a serious contender again in a few years. I think if a team is really close to winning it all, bringing in a few key vets can get us over the hump......I just don't think the 49ers are quite there yet.

I want to win the SB next year as much as anyone, but bringing in older expensive vets is not likely to get it done now....sure, it's possible but I really feel we need to get young and hungry with a rebuild first.

The key is we need to hit on solid players in the draft. Easier said than done though.
Depends on what we do this offseason will determine our intentions
