you want the byes late in the year. the worst is the early season bye. no one needs that. you want byes late season, when guys are banged or tired.

I don't understand how they can have a BYE that close to the end of the season. The NFL is retarded sometimes.

I think either 8-5 or 7-6 at bye week. BTW, week 14 for a bye totally sucks.

Why are ALL of the crappiest teams at home and anyone a bit better away?? Like all of them. Only Chicago is a bit intriguing Sunday night.

Teams are quite different from one year to the next and make some huge improvement or huge decline year-to-year. Look at Washington last year they were two years ahead of schedule. The teams we had for nearly 5 straight years minus 2020, is an exception not a rule. It's called a league of parity for a reason. Seeing a schedule doesn't automatically equate to 12 wins as if there's 8-10 gimmies on there. It's simply too high an expectation. If this team wins 10 games it'll be phenomenal, even with a supposed easy schedule.
It will be a huge disappointment if this team doesn't win a minimum of 12 games
to me parity is / has been a myth. brady went to 10 super bowls. jags and browns have been to 0. now mahomes goes to the AFC champ game and SB pretty much every season. lions never made it once. so where is that parity?
I agree 100%.. the NFL rode the parity wave hard circa 1999-2001 when it did truly exist. Then they decided to change the rules to ensure the top QBs always had the advantage.
The AFC from 2001-2024 has been Peyton, Ben, Brady, Mahomes for all but 3 years..
The remnant of parity only exist because of the one surprise annual fluke team who wins 11 games then does jack in January.
