Bingo. That's exactly what Krueger / Bruce speculated on. Assuming that in both scenarios, you're still searching for a long term viable QB through the draft, do you sign Brock to a more lucrative deal surrounded with less talent, or do you go with Darnold with a less lucrative deal and more talent.
If we're still searching for our franchise QB, then I'd rather take my chance with a cheaper Darnold surrounded by a more talented group of guys. Maybe you try to revert back to the JimmyG era where the defense carries us and you just need a game manager. I don't think this "offensive juggernaut" led by Purdy is going to work…
