Probably getting another set of fresh eyes on Brocky, can't be too careful when backing up the Brinks truck. I do however think the league has caught up to what Kyle does schematically and the older heads Mike and Gary have probably had to adjust the zone scheme before. We haven't been great since Baltimore gave the league the blueprint last December, hopefully adjustments can be made.

link? how do you know this? is it because he doesnt listen to the raging fans on this site?

Kyle was dismissive about the idea of him talking football with Gary Kubiak. He doesn't have an OC and calls all plays himself. And thinks that "every play has an answer." There is quite a bit of evidence that he won't listen to advice from everyone.

He has no incentive to be honest about discussions he has or hasn't had with GK. His answer comes across as being very "Bill Belichick" here.

And instead of an OC, he has a pass game and run game coordinator. He isn't the only coach who uses or has used this approach nor is he the only HC who calls his own plays.

A coaching title doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things for the assistant coaches. They are still all exactly that, assistant coaches, working under the HC and are performing the responsibilities that Kyle assigns to them.

lol. ok. you guys got it all figured out.

You're right. It's much more likely that Kyle is like a sponge. Probably calls everyone in his radius asking for advice, maybe even some pointers on what to do in certain situations.

I mean, do people really think Kubiak is at practice just for funzies?

Yep. Why would you think otherwise?

To me, not too hard to connect the dots. Gary can visit his son anytime, anywhere else that doesn't involve him being on the practice field.

IDK, maybe I am reaching. Who knows..

Like Kyle said. He's in town visiting family. Probably decided to stop by. Kyle didn't even sugar coat it…

Hopefully he becomes the OC.

Would be nice to give Kyle some help with some experience

Kubiak could oversee the WHOLE offense and tweak it back to being dominant again.

This.
I didn't think much about the visit earlier in the week. Shanny has been overwhelmed and needs the help but never admits it. He's missed Mcdaniels,
I hope it was a visit to also help consult on what to do to get over the hump. The offense today has looked the best it has all year.
Some excitement has to be tempered in that the Bears played zone defense which usually Purdy usually sheds.
There were changes though. More Purdy under center and play action.
We had effective passes to the RB and screens to start. We could run. Better in the red zone.. What did everyone else think and see?

You know to be honest, I wondered the same thing. Maybe Kubiak gave some advice to Kyle. Nothing wrong with that.
Kubiak needs to be hired to be what McDaniel was when he was here
