He comes off as knowledgeable, but his pecking order decisions, how awful he's been as the run game coordinator after taking over from Lynn, and the fact that neither the rookies nor vets ever seem to progress.. All indicate he's just a bad coach.

I agree. I would not be sad at all to see him go.

OL play has been atrocious

That was hard to watch, and not just because it was one of our worst games.

Really a frustrating season, but the lean years have taught me that delaying my hopes for another season or two isn't the end of the world.

Yeah I think both offense and defense are obviously hampered by line issues.....

You need talent allover the field to be good, but man do lineman have to win helmet on helmet more often then most positions.

The o-line with so many familar faces suddenly unable to execute the tried and true run plays is the most concerning. Yeah I know this last game we had an extra new face, but the red zone issues all year is a symptom of the on going issue.

I would be all for an 86 style draft, trade down pick up extra picks, and target 6 or so new linemen ( O and D) and let them battle it out to see who can step up early.

I saw a stat once that rookies are like 30% more likely to draw flags than vets....but I swear on this team....what does it even matter....we get flagged all the time...you might as well fold in some youth, I would seriously bet we don't pick up 30% more flags as often as these vets get called.

on D they have to throw that entire plan in the crapper, that whole make them feel you even if they don't go down. The idea of impact and hope you slow them down for others to rally for the tack is total crap.

Truth hurts and the Niners need to draft, wheel and deal for OL & DL this offseason. Always like your breakdowns of games JD. Validates what I see on game days. Happy Holidays to all

I have a feeling we will be doing a lot more cactus hugging. DL was once a strength and is now a weakness, Fred is playing with a fractured ankle, O line just lacks effort overall, way too may penalties at crucial moments in the game, secondary playing like poop. The list just goes on.
