49'ers play at the Bills at 5:20 pm Sunday. 49'ers are 6.5 underdogs. We can win if Purdy, Williams and Bosa all return. Assuming we get the W:

All these games will be played before 49'ers kickoff:

Seattle loses at NY Jets with Seattle favored 1.5 points. Let's hope Rodgers stays QB for Jets.

AZ loses at Minnesota with Vikings favored 4 points.

3 way tie for first place in the division 😊

Wild Card:
Washington loses at home against Tennessee with Commanders favored 6 points.

Tied for final spot in wildcard 😊

But if it did miraculously happen, it would require the following -

Good general health.
All of the short-term injured players return and contribute straight away. (Bosa, Purdey, etc.)
All of the long-term injured players return and contribute straight away (Greenlaw, Feliciano, etc.)
Mooney ward returns.
One or two rookies find their feet in a big way (Pearsall would be ideal).
CMC gets back into top form. Deebo gets his mojo back.

Too much to ask for in too short of a time, but I honestly think that we could have been competitive if all of those things had fallen into place.

Let's say somehow the team is miraculously able to make the playoffs. WTF are we doing when we get there?

Are we just happy to get there for the even worse draft slotting than we would otherwise have when we actually do miss the playoffs?

Because we don't have the horses to make any noise if we do get there and we are not a "just happy to be there" organization.

The cupboards may not be completely empty here, but they SAF are in dire need of restocking and a better draft slot, if used properly, could help as part of the restocking process.

If this team starts playing better while also getting key guys back healthy - if that happens and they finish the season strong & looking good in qualifying for the playoffs, anything can happen at that point.

And, who knows how healthy other teams in the playoffs will be - as we know, injuries can happen at any given point.

First things first, let's see how this team looks these next few games with hopefully Purdy, Bosa, and Ward back. Then, maybe Greenlaw can go after another week or so as his window was opened today.

The Bills just might split us in two after going deep inside

I'd be happy if we just slap the crap out of the Lambs and Tards.

If we get some guys back and are healthy when Lions are in town, I hope Niners pull that off too.

How many of you who are ridiculing up this post are of the camp, it's better to go the Super Bowl and lose than not go at all? For the record, I am NOT in this camp but would also be ecstatic if we squeaked into the playoffs regardless if we get bounced hard. But yeah this is not a SB caliber team. Even last year's team probably should have lost to Detroit. We have no run defense, our S/T is a s**t show and our offense is broken.

The fair weather fans think winning is an easy task now, any coach can do it
This is a Super Bowl caliber team when everyone is healthy. Vegas had us with second best odds right behind KC to win it all.

😂
Seattle beat AZ so the status is the same as last week which is one game out of first place with a lot of games left so if they get healthy it will be interesting to see play out. Kittle is the only one balling out though and the secondary is ass.Front 4 is ass without Bosa and Fred Warner is bad now because of the rest of the scrubs on this terrible defense

Love the misplaced, baseless optimism.

Awww this thread is cute 🥰
We will be lucky to win another game this year. The sooner fans realize this the better. Y'all setting yourselves up for disappointment. Take my advice , make some money instead. Bet against this undisciplined, poorly coached team for the rest of the year. Easy money.

Me neither, but yeah, I'd love to get to the playoffs even just to get bounced... great for the rooks to get a taste, they'll stay hungry.
The number of wins this team has right now is the number of wins they will end the season with.

This is a dumpster fire.
