Do we need to re-tool or Full rebuild?

This is a huge rebuilding plan, you cant loose all these guys and fix it in one draft.

If it is a rebuild, it can be a quick one. Rams did basically a 1 year rebuild. Having said that, I'm gonna wait until after the draft to see if this really is a "rebuild" year.

Retool looks pretty laughable at this point. Based on the current trajectory.
Well after today this is looking more and more like a rebuild.

it can be a quick one if they hit on draft picks. they need to hit on at least one superstar pick and a couple of guys who can be fringe pro bowl players.

rams hit on puka, bryant, turner all in the same draft and then added verse

Im just not sure if I trust them to hit. this is not an easy draft to hit on picks, not too many blue chip prospects. the 2024 draft looks good, they will need even a better one this year
This is a deconstruction, after today they need to cut or trade CMC and BA. Get STUPID lucky in the draft for OL and DL. They absolutely can't overpay Brock
Looks like a full rebuild lol
Also.....if Purdy, Trent, Kittle, CMC, BA, JJ stay this aint a full on rebuild.

The offense is mostly intact. they lost Juice (a FB), a washed up Deebo and a guard that (in my opinion) was overrated. Big whoop. if CMC can stay healthy and like at 75-85% of his 2023 form, the offense will be decent.

The defense is definitely getting younger and is getting rebuilt... the front 7 for sure. They probably will be starting Brown and Mustapha in the secondary, Green and Lenoir outside, Warner as MLB. The dline, slot corner and will LB are biggest question marks.

I can see we're rebuilding the defense. On offense we need a new approach.

I'd like to second this. In the draft, the items you pointed out plus an OLineman of some sort.
Looks like a rebuild now. Sad wasting the great years with losing two super bowls.

Still a rebuild on offense. Need a new OL. Trent has maybe a season left. CMC had 2 different pretty significant injuries and he could be on the downside of his career for a RB.

Need to rebuild the WR room, Kittle is getting older.

A lot of holes or holes coming up soon on offense also
Let's be real folks.. This most likely is a 2 year project. We lost freaking J. Moore 😳.. Our back up tackle! We need depth all around and damn near a complete rebuild of the trenches.

I think we can be competitive next season.. But superbowl dreams should be put on hold.

lol it was always a rebuild. Only the homers defined it differently, and that was primarily to save face with Kyle.

The Yorks are cleaning house. Only a matter of time before Kyle walks. It's only then the new era of 49ers football can begin.

York's aren't messing around! Great to see a response and some accountability for a change.
