We have zero pass-rush when it matters

We never run when we have to kill the clock

In the last 2 games the team has played well in only one quarter but they won because the Cowboys are hot gargabe.

We are 4-4 and we are exaclty what our record says: a mediocre team that only can beat teams that are worse.

I'm sorry for being so negative but our Niners have too many flaws to take them seriously this season.
I think once Greenlaw and CMC come back this team will take a step forward. Still going to have some brain farts in the young secondary, but hopefully their growing pains are only for a short while.

To me, the biggest takeaway from the game was that Kyle made the exact adjustments we needed to win. If not for some huge penalties early, we could've scored a lot more.

We wanted rubs, pick plays, other man beating routes -- we got that.

We wanted more screens -- we got that.

We wanted more creative plays schemed up -- we saw that in both the run and pass game last night.

I'm definitely still not even close to sold on Sorensen. Games should be over with a three score lead with 10 mins left in the fourth, but Dallas scored inexcusably fast on two possessions and was really close to getting in position for a game winner if not for a drop.

Did you catch the Hail Mary attempt the Colts did vs the Texans. The way the Texans overloaded the line on AR15s right to force him to have to roll left was one of those "I miss Demeco" moments for me. Just a smart almost common sense move. Instead we have a DC who keeps going to prevent D which hasn't been effective

What I don't get about prevent D in general...it's like we were up by 3 scores and there were 1:17 left in the game and the other team has no timeouts. Defensive coordinators using this on the other side of two minute warning. Just lazy, stupidity playcalling.

When is Greenlaw coming back? I haven't heard anything about him being back after the bye. CMC isn't necessarily coming back after the bye. As was said, CMC is going to get a simulated practice this week and they'll see how that goes. I would support the 49ers being very cautious with CMC so even if he was sore, etc. I would rest him another week. Honestly, it wouldn't be a bad decision to let him rest until the last 3 or 4 games of the season so he's as healthy as possible for the playoffs cause I think having CMC good to go in the playoffs is the only way the 49ers make it out of the first round.

I have never understood why teams go into that soft zone defense with less than a 2 score lead and more than 2 minutes on the clock. It would be different if the opposing team had been moving the ball all day but when your defense has stopped them on 5 straight drives it makes no sense. Allit does is make it easy for them to move down the field and score. With rules favoring the offense now it's a recipe for a blown lead.

All you have to do is look at how many games are won in the final minute because a team has gone into that prevent defense. If the lead is 3 points or less it's almost certain that the other team will get a shot at a FG with all the kickers that can kick from 50+. If the defense has played well all day then jusy=t play the normal defense. There's less chance of them completing a deep pass than there is of them moving steadily downfield when your defenders are playing 10 yards off the ball.
- Deemo Lenoir is our best CB and he should be extended ASAP
- Niners need to get Azeez Ojulari to bookend Bosa at the trade deadline. Six sacks and three pressures in last three games.
- Niners don't need to trade for a WR, but another vet DT would be a good idea.
- Niners rookie class has been epic. Need to keep as much of their draft capital as possible for next year.
- Like the adjustments from Shanny in the second half.
- Getting Piersall going and getting Jennings back means the WR corps should be good as long as Deebo stays healthy.
