He had to prepare for no CMC or limited CMC. His plan could still have been to start Mason even if CMC was active to keep CMC's touches minimized.

What are the opinions on Brock without being too Homer. It's great we won but I do not see this as a very impressive outing. I hope not the down to earth get real year.

IDK but just saw Mason at the post game press conference and someone asked when he found out he was starting and he looked down and said something like "this is why I hate talking to the media. You get asked something and then …. let's just skip that question."
I think he got chewed out in the locker room for that on the field comment

I am sure as the season plays out we will know what we got with this line, but we really should be tentatively positive about the performance of this o-line....what was out biggest weakness last year really looked like a strength tonight.
After we all watched a weekend full of rusty as heck opening days, I am sure the 49ers were not immune to some opening day issues...but even with all that...it was a good day, they looked like one of the more prepared teams for sure.
If the jets go on a winning streak the next couple of games, then that'll tell us more about our win today.
