Bathune, Winters, Purdy, Kalia Davis, Elijah Mitchell, Jauan Jennings, DJ Jones. They find a legit player almost every year.

I've been saying this for years - the way they select players in rounds 1-3 and then rounds 4-UDFA must be different.

I'd be willing to bet that there are less voices on the second half decisions - so just position coaches and scouts really make those decisions. The first couple rounds probably has even Jed offering his opinion and when you get too many cooks in the kitchen - people tend to just let the bosses do what they want with little fight.

I really believe Kyle is too involved in the first couple rounds. Let the scouts scout and coaches coach. Both are good at their job for a reason.

I always wonder why is it always an assumption its different people...

why cant it be that they draft differently in first few rounds in a way, ie with a different mindset

its always that high round picks they make are specifically selected for a specific role. whereas later picks are more like fliers with certain traits they like that may or may not work out. I wouldnt even say more developmental, but less expectations of immediate contribution or something like that

a lot of times they'd draft players high to replace a departed high-profile player at a certain position, and a lot of times those were just flops

guys like Kittle, even Warner werent selected as potential cornerstones or starters to replace someone good, they were just guys they liked and didnt even like them enough to trade up for them.

I always feel like the team often favors positional need way too much over BPI in the first few rounds (and I dont think they understand value). this would explain picks like Latu or Moody.
he a NOLE !!! He CAN tackle !!!

Too bad we are terrible in rounds 1-4

Letting Saleh draft rounds 1-4 worked out pretty well. He's learned a lot since Solomon Thomas

PLEASE KARMA GODS REWARD THIS TEAM AND FANS WITH A RINGGGGGGGGGG

He had a hell of a game and yes it's just one game but considering the circumstances what a performance.
The 2024 draft has been awesome for the Niners.

Thomas was a Lynch pick.

2- Green
3- Puni
3- Mustapha
7- Bethune

What a haul.

The 2025 draft looks amazing too

Guy started timid but the end of the game was flying across the line of scrimmage filling the holes and pushing up the middle on rushes.

Heck ran over Bijan on his to the QB.

Yea, that was bijan who got blown up, not the guard.
Bethune played his ass off! He was captain of the D when he played at FSU. I was glad the Niners drafted him. He always plays hard.
Did we just find another linebacker

Looks like camp depth. I don't see much there. But it's a late pick so it's fine.
