I know this dude is a bust, but I thought I heard he was healthy a while ago. Can anyone confirm this?

6 targets last year. 4 catches for 80 yards. Then he was hurt the entire season. Produced in the EXTREMELY limited opportunities he got. Can't declare him.a bust. But his practice window was opened.

Opening his window doesn't matter. As Maiocco just noted, there is no spot on the roster for him. He won't be activated.

He reinjured himself shortly after he got better.

Also, people love throwing the word bust around. They're not in immediate superstar. Obviously he hasn't played and maybe he doesn't pan out. But it's too early to tell and also hard to call mid round picks busts.

Purdy needs somebody who can get open in under 2 seconds. He will find the open guy if anyone can get open.

Without Ricky he's got nobody but little to throw to.

You need some speed so they don't just throw everyone between the hashes within 7 yards of the line of scrimmage.

Unfortunately I thought Kyle said he didn't expect him to play this week… so if true makes the move even more pointless

And Cowing is the saviour? That is serious optimism.

He comes from a long line of unfulfilled potential, should have been, non contributing busts. That is the DNA of our wide receiver culture. All show and no go. Reasons for each differ but not really. Injuries, attitude mental health and finally… not good enough to get on the field despite our desperate need for speed and downfield threat. The last one is the most troubling when you consider who currently suits up. If you can't beat or at least match the talent of our current starters you ain't making it. Watkins fits in that category.

The WR situation is mind boggling. They might as well setup a poll and let the fans draft each player live during the draft. Would be kind of fire. Like "The Voice" kind of voting live during the show. Results literally cannot be worse we they suck at drafting
