tbh losing Ward was a huge deal just like I thought. That guy had an all-pro type of year in 2023. Outside corner is a premier position and tough to just plug a guy in and he is good right away.

my concern with Green is that hes really more suited for man coverage than zone coverage. and this team plays zone a ton

Green just hasn't been good enough to miss. Obviously he's better than Luter, and if we move green we now need to target a cb early.

But also, I'd absolutely be willing to roll that dice. I don't think green is very good and I don't think he ever will be. We shouldn't settle for "serviceable"

Apparently Terrion Arnold Of the Detroit Lions might be implicated in some kinda revenge crime after he had been robbed twice. If his legal problems cause him to miss time I wonder if they would have any interest in Green.

From the reports so far, hes been having a great training camp. If he can build on that and have a great season for us that would be huge for our defense.

No idea how Luter and Zatezjytl stuck around this long

Love what I'm hearing from Green so far and sounds like it's showing up in camp too. Hopefully he keeps it going once pads come on and for the rest of his career with us.

If we can get top level play from him, Lenoir and Stout we'll be cooking with fire on that D! Safeties still make me nervous but top level corner play can go a long way, especially with more pop from the front 7.

Could be. For all his faults Steve Wilks was terrific for our corners. Raheem did a pretty good job with Atlanta's DBs as well.

Although not sure if you had a chance to listen to his presser after practice yesterday but he talked about just getting more vocal, learning the scheme more so it may simply be the light finally going on for him. He also mentioned Kyle being hard on him as a good thing because he's hard on himself.

DMo also talked about how he and Green got closer this offseason and he saw Green becoming more vocal and more confident.

I know but it's never too early to appreciate a good start. Green has all the tools to be a good CB in the NFL, I think he just needed the right defensive coaches around him. I think Raheem Morris and Jerry Gray are huge additions to the secondary. Gray has coached some of the best CB's throughout his NFL coaching career (Sherman, Jaire Alexander, Terrance Newman. Samari Rolle). Not to mention, whatever team Gray has been on it's been a playoff team.

His physical gifts haven't been the issue. It's mental lapses during games. I'm hoping that changes because I like his game when he's locked in.

Over communicating on the back end will lead to less coverage breakdowns.

i was always a fan of our CB both Green and Lenior

i think people are too hard on Green based on last year but last year we had no pass rush and our front 7 was in shambles. It wasnt really fair on the back end
