Well it also solidifies that the 49ers management kind of knew there would be a run WR's and wanted to get their preferred guy. He seems like an Edelman/Welker kind of receiver and that's not a bad thing. Purdy likes to work the middle of the field and so does Pearsell. I expect the 49ers to utilize more 3 wide sets and Ricky to get his share of playing time. The emergence of Purdy allows the offense to transform some.
