No one wants to be done with him. Everyone wants the guy that helped us win a tough game in Seattle last year.

He is still a quality talent but plays a violent game that sometimes comes along with bad luck. Let's hope the surgery is successful and his/our luck changes next season.

In the meantime, there is nothing anyone can do but sit and wait - not something the fan base does well at all.

I was right about this pick. I wish I was wrong, but everything I said that would come true did. I wanted a trade down and get offensive line. I said everyone else in the division drafted DLine and our Oline was our weakest part of the team and it would hurt us in the future. I said Pearsall was not the right build and would be injury prone. It was all so obvious

He was healthy throughout 5 years of college without missing a game lol. But ya, you knew he was somewhat gonna be injury prone by shaking your magic 8ball?

I wonder if he predicted the gunshot woind tghat caused him to miss the first 6 games of his rookie season. Did he know that he would injure his PCL diving for a ball. His build had nothing to do with that. How about the fact the kept trying to play through it last season. Maybe he should have just shut it down but he didn't.

Would rather spend that cap on a player that will play on Sundays.

Of course but that ship has sailed. There is a contract in place that runs through next season. There is no changing that. It is what it is.
He was overdrafted to begin with. When will KS and JL stop this?

They do it just to specifically mess with you and you alone. Devious of them, truly.

I heard thst since he will miss the whole season, they don't have to decide on his 5th yeat option in May 2027 and get another year to decide.

That would be cool.

That would only have been the case if he had been put on IR before OTAs, IIRC.

Maybe your childish posts are the bad luck? Maybe try making adult like posts for a bit and see what happens?

Maybe your childish posts are the bad luck? - what a baby...the point that you all don't see and won't accept is the fact that good players we have had always gotten hurt... it's NOT Shanny's fault per se, but it's his bad luck being our HC is the one that brings all the injuries to the players..

It's just not meant to be .. and reasons will find a way..

Who cares. Stick a fork in him, since his career is about done with the niners. Doubt he'll be here for a second contract. Everything's lined up against him since he arrived. Bust draft pick.
Almost as over drafted as Wishnowski!

On a positive note, positive reports on Stribling may help wash away the bad taste.
The Niners will see IF he can come back next year. If he has a solid 2027 then I would expect a 2 year contract at the minimum so he can prove himself. He's not heading for big money IF he can recover from all this. He has a LOT to prove and that is why he's rather hurt himself when his rookie deal is done regardless of where he lands IF he can play. Then again if not, here is what he's made . . . as of August 2026 he has made $8,107,583 in total cash earnings over his NFL career so far . . . and he'll get paid this year his salary 1.9 million even being on PUP . . . if he managed that correctly he should be set for life and do it before he's 26 . . . no worries for him.

The drafting of Stribling told you all you needed to know on how the 49ers felt about Pearsall. Expect them to draft another WR in next year's draft . . . and don't expect them to trade away for big players as this team is really in transition and they need to start replacing their geriartic elite members who are over 30. That means keeping their draft picks and going with what they have acquired. They'll be competitive I think, just not dominant this year. We'll see.

Moving forward including this season, they need to find young guys to step up and I fear we'll be in a rebuild in 2 to 3 years IF they miss on picking up core players. That is what I am excited for for this season. To see who from the last couple of drafts steps up and seizes their opportunity or if they have the personal who will do that. I think its time for the fan base to begin looking for the next gen of players as the core is aging. Pearsall could have been one, I think most of us don't think he is because of the injury history. Jury will come in at the end of 2027 for him so nothing to fret about until next season for Pearsall.
