For the folks looking to get rid of Pearsall...

Can we translate these win rates to yds/tds? What did he do with this separation vs. the others in the top five? Where was he in the last game? Still not 100% I guess. And no, just because I ask these questions doesn't mean I'm in this 'get rid of' crowd lol.

i remember in first 3 weeks JSN, Puca, and Pearsall were all top in league in yards he got injured in 4th game

Look at the schedule though:

Week 1 - Seahawks
Week 2 - Saints
Weeks 3 - Cardinals

Schedule has what to do with performance by a WR?

Seahawks - #6 defense in the NFL in yards allowed
Saints - #9 defense in yards allowed
Cardinals were a bad defense but it had more to do with the amount of injuries they suffered and the team falling apart in the 2nd half of the season.

Meanwhile Pearsall played 2 of those games with a backup QB and was the #1 WR with Jennings either hurt or out complete with no George Kittle either.

People asking for him to be traded or released should get a clue.

He's paid peanuts and right now he is our best WR under contract for next season.

I hope the FO does its job and activates his 5th year option.

The sad part is that you can fully expect a dumb move like this from our FO.

Honestly man why are you even a "fan"? Being this miserable when supporting a sports team doesn't seem healthy.

Watching the Bears vs 49ers game a game I missed. And I got to say, I am sold on Ricky Pearsall. He absolutely gave Nahshon Wright a run for his money and beat him a couple times with his route running. If Pearsall can just stay healthy he should turn into that X wide receiver we were all hoping for.

lol it's only been 2 years, it is trending in that direction but we all know he'll have about 1k this year miss a few games. Fans will continue to groan about injuries, hit 1400 yards 9TDs his contract year not miss a game get paid then blow out his ACL in minicamp.

Quite the contrary, calling out this FO's very poor results and decisions makes me feel invigorated.

Whatever floats your boat...just make sure you don't get all up in arms when other posters call you out for rooting for the team to fail.

You have people literally talking about the kid like he's a bust and some even calling for him to be moved from the team.

That picture is a reminder to those folks who seem to forget what he was showing us this year when healthy. Unfortunately that's the only sample we have since the injury kept getting aggravated the rest of the season. You can refer to the last few games of his rookie season(when he talked about it finally clicking for him) if you want as well.

I would think that gives us a better read on him as a player in the NFL than early in his rookie season post gunshot wound to the chest or after a nagging PCL injury with an ankle injury due to a hip drop tackle on top of it.

Drake Jackson had a great day that we were all rightfully excited about to start 2023. However his sacks weren't impressive in hindsight. From what I recall 2 cleanup ones and the 3rd Pickett held the ball way too long.

Pearsall was making big time plays those weeks. Here is a quick AI roundup of what he did

Key Rankings & Advanced Metrics

Based on his performance through the first three weeks, Pearsall ranked among the elite tier of NFL wide receivers in several efficiency categories:

Yards Per Game: With 93.7 yards per game, Pearsall ranked in the Top 10 among all NFL receivers through Week 3.

First Down Receptions: Approximately 76.5% of his receptions resulted in a first down during this period, one of the highest conversion rates for high-volume targets in the league.

Yards Per Reception: His 17.6 average placed him in the Top 15 for receivers with at least 15 targets, highlighting his role as a vertical threat.

Target Efficiency: In Week 3, his 11 targets and 8 receptions were season-highs, ranking him among the top five most-targeted receivers for that specific week.

Success Against Man Coverage: Pearsall was exceptionally effective against man-to-man schemes, averaging 2.11 yards per route run, significantly higher than his 1.09 average against zone

So yeah...the only issue with him right now is proving he can stay healthy for the whole season. His play should not be questioned. And nobody in their right mind should be looking to get rid of him from the 49ers...unless they're not actually 49er fans.
Just checking in with Ricky during the offseason. What injury is he dealing with this week? 🤣😂

Very poor results. 12-5 with massive injuries and a chunk of our best players out for most of the season, like Bosa and Fred and Aiyuk down and probably out. Very poor results indeed. Your problem is, for some reason only known to you, you only focus in on the bad and you ignore the good.

some "fans" only see success as 17-0, a blowout every game and an all pro at every position. It's called, "too much Madden football" on their x-box, and "too much fantasy football."
