Looks like the ball was behind him which it should have been cause that's a hospital ball otherwise. Likely just a way to stop his forward momentum

? How is jumping going to stop him?

If you push off and jump in the opposite direction it greatly reduces your momentum 🤦‍♂? I get what you're saying though you can get lit up. Not really enough to really see if he should of or not but it was placed behind him

Yeah, not much of a clip, but as I was taught you ONLY jump if you have to go up to make the catch. Everything else is better for the player and the play if your feet are on the ground. When you jump you can't cut, you can't slow down, you can't speed up, you can't twist with leverage.

That said, I really love his hands and his route running was looking really good at the end of last year. It's just that the jump thing is a trigger for me because I was called out LOUDLY in front of the entire team like 40 years ago (good lord I'm old).
I'm glad he's doing better in preseason and training camp. We need a big year out of him. Hope he stays healthy and doesn't get the little nicked up stuff like hamstring. We need him healthy and productive all year long.

He hasn't missed a game for anything but being shot. I remember him being considered durable in college too.
The jump so far is just unbelievable. He's fast, running precise routes, getting open, catching everything. It looks automatic between him and Brock. Last year he looked lost at times until late. For obvious reasons that were not all his fault. I felt sorry for him. But the leap to year 2 is unbelievable. It looks like we have something here. If he can stay healthy and be productive all season. I think he will put up pretty big numbers.
jennings pearsall and Aiyuk are going to be a great trio with Kittle and CMC

i think we may start a bit rough but hit our stride toward the end of year in terms of offensive production

Robinson is good as a WR4 too. And Cowing might not suck ... maybe.

Only thing that really worries me on the offensive side of the ball is the OLine.

It's definitely the weak link. For years and years.
There is usually one balller white WR in the league somewhere and this year it'll be our boy Slick Rick. He's going to be Rick rollin people all year. Cant wait

The starters don't really concern me, Al though I expect them to be slightly above average, it's when one gets hurt.

our back up tackle situation is god awful.
