The red turned an ugly maroon in night games, rainy games + any sweat 👎👎👎
all they need to do is to fix the helmet logo (priority #1) and maybe bring back the candy cane socks. Then the regular unis = 💯 PERFECT

the 96 uni change introduced more black into the color scheme too. that along with the darker red color change was awful.

They were good for its time; maybe I feel that way because that's what they were wearing when I became a fan as a kid, but they definitely shouldn't ever go back to them

No more half-measures and compromises with any of the uniform elements. Either go back all the way to the 1981-95 look or not at all. Since the 2009, there's always been one or two things just not "right": helmet logo, shoulder stripes, number of shoulder stripes, "49ERS" wordmark font, pants color/pants stripe width, socks
Most of these have gradually been fixed thankfully, the only major thing left is the helmet logo to revert back full time to the Montana-Young era look.
