Who will be the Niners new DC?-Rooney Rule Now Applicable

If Vrabel or Bellicheat is hired...how confident are you the niners get back to the super bowl?

Would be extremely confident we'd have an elite defense with Bill. A little bit less so with Vrabel (but still confident and happy with the hire).

Figure our offense will be very efficient again, and we'd be in prime condition to contend.

That said, I'd be very surprised if we ended up with either one of the two.

The same if they aren't

This
i don't see Jets letting Ulbrich go this late. Why would Saleh let him take this job and end up blocking himself coming back when he gets fired next year. He'd want us to pick someone like Vrabel that would leave next year. Then he could come back later.

only way Kyle and John accept him is if reveals he's actually mixed...or comes in dressed up...

I feel like a hire within would be a bit underwhelming

No it wouldn't. No if you paid attention to that jets D.

All the dumb Bill and Pete as DC talk was ridiculous. Those guys aren't gonna be DC's. Vrabel who I like, doesn't run this scheme and will be gone in a year anyway.

dude is a former Niner. He's been a damn good coach everywhere he's gone. He fits the bill.

It's your fault b/c i really want Lynn after you brought him up. That's who I've been excited for. I never brought any for the BB, Pete, or Vrabel talk. So hiring Ulbrich would be underwhelming to me.

Agreed. Doesn't mean it wouldn't turn out to be a good move though.

Would also think it could open up some questions about changes we could have made last season.

Like matching on Tinder with your second cousin, underwhelming?

I respectfully disagree. The best DC's the 49ers have ever fielded during the Shanahan regime were internal hires. Can the 49ers strike gold for a third time? I don't know.

My family hails from Illinois. The biggest joke in that state is: Where do Illinois men go to chase women? Family reunions.

If it's from within it's going to be Bullocks. Maybe he wasn't ready last year. They have kept this pretty secretive so at this point it could be anyone.
