I can't blame anyone who picks against us.

Objectively, we have not been great since the Baltimore game. We are going against the best QB in the league. He has played very well in the postseason. He doesn't turn it over often. There is the Reid vs Wilkes factor. On paper, a mismatch.

I think these picks are 50/50 if we played to our full capabilities against GB/Detroit.

Now, if we do play to our full capabilities on Sunday, we will win. I just don't think we can go 60 minutes without a turnover or headscratching coaching choices.

My gut says this game goes down to the wire or KC wins by 10 or more. I don't see a scenario where we blow them out. There's just too many ways they can win. And too many ways we can lose.

I am not confident at all.

Why are there too many ways they can win?? I mean we have the better offense and can put up points. Imo we can win both a low scoring game (if our D plays to their potential) and a high scoring game as we have the better offense. KC is a low scoring team. If the niners score points KC will have a difficult time keeping up, especially with SF run game. Everyone talks about SF poor run D but fail to talk about the chiefs run D???

SFs D has been leaking since the playoffs started. They have been fortunate with drops. The run D is essentially non existent unless the opposing team makes the choice to stop running like Detroit did. Mahomes will surgical pick apart this defense if they continue to allow guys to run open.
In that 2019 Super Bowl... Chris Jones got his hands up and blocked key passes from Jimmy.

Chris Jones is still Chris Jones 4 years later...

Brock has had passes batted at the line recently as well. The reason I don't want this game to be a close one is because of players like Jones and Patrick Mahomes.

Imo we have way better weapons than they do on offense... and more playmakers on defense (although KC has some young stars)..

Over a course of a game if go full battle.. we should out last them and break away. But if we out think ourselves and end up making s**t more close than it needs to be...don't take advantage of our chances... don't take advantage of momentum......well...late in the game, players like Chris Jones and Patrick Mahomes are players who nullify what ever talent gap there was.

If you look at those knockdowns that's really on our OL, as they often have two bodies on Jones, and you gotta rib shot him more or less, to get his hands down. If he's raising his hands, he's exposed, gotta hit him. That's football or what JTO was suggesting on his review of that game. It's a matter of technique.

Chris Jones is definitely a game changer. I just hope they keep him double teamed the entire game.

When he tries to block a pass, gut punch him. Maybe not punch but push with a closed fist, to the abdomen. Or the nuts. Get those hands down so Kittle can catch the pass.

Detroit didn't decide to stop running though. SF was much better against the run in the 2nd half. Then SF offense woke up, got the turnover then the lead. I don't know why people think Detroit just stopped running the ball. The team that stopped running the ball was Baltimore and for no Damn reason

Recent history has shown that the Chiefs are more consistent than the 49ers, where it counts most = playoffs.

Two things have to occur for a 49ers win (even by 3 pts):
49ers defense has to step up big time (anyone who follows the 49ers knows it). The chances of that happening? maybe 40%
The Chiefs defense has to under-perform. The chances of that happening, with Spagnuolo + their experience, maybe 30%
The chances of both happening, and we really need both to happen in some fashion, is about 12%

Keeping math aside, the eye tests showed that the 49ers needed the two weeks to really improve in some key areas. Chiefs mostly have to continue what they have been doing, I don't think anyone is asking them to change, over-perform or do anything extra-ordinary. Those two scenarios by themselves tell a lot.

Ok, any given Sunday.

Math? That's sounds like made up what ifs. Not actual data.

People acting like KC has faced an offense like SF with all the talent they have. Name me one team in the last couple months??

Meanwhile SF has played two offenses that have actually been better (much) compared to KC this yr. There's data/film to back that up. Not made up %

lol at the 12%. So random. Everything is 50% since either it happens, or it doesn't happen.

On the knockdowns, he often was double teamed, and that's why he wasn't getting home. The double team almost negates his rush, and he turns his attention to eyes on the QB and batting em down. Pretty disgusting when you commit two players to cancel him out, and he still ruins your play. I have no doubt there will be plans for him, based on what happened in the SB prior. They are talking about all this stuff.

Odd because 21 of their 29 attempts came in the first half.

I'm fairly certain it's actually closer to 16.465984515198448%

KC defense is definitely legit but yeah he's overselling their success. But no question they're a big test with the pressure they bring and the tight coverage they play at corner.

But our offense is pretty damn good if we're not hurting ourselves. So let's go out there and execute well and win this f*cking game!

Do doubt, I don't think they're bad or anything. If anything I feel like they've been undervalued for years. Spags is a damn good DC.

Agreed…if both teams play clean football, SF is winning by 14 imo.

I agree with this. We play up to our normal standards, this game is a blowout. We match up really well with them, and I am confident that we will pull this one out with a W.

Exactly what I was thinking. If dudes put their hands up I'm taking out their ribcages and sending dudes to the infirmary!
