That strong Lion's OLine is going to be missing at least one, if not two, starters this Sunday. At this point in the season, injuries start to mount and depth of talent matters as much or more than starting talent. Guys like Chris Conley isn't Zack Ertz, but he was attracted to sign with the 49ers because of their potential to go to a Superbowl. So guys like Sebastian Joseph Day/Conley etc... are important player acquisitions as are guys like Chase Young and Randy Gregory right now.

I prefer to see more snaps to Kevin Givens than Sebastian Joseph and similarly to Brown than Ryan

those guys are in the system/scheme longer and more physical

somehow we need to overcome Ambry Thomas too

Agree about our normal backups. They've been in the Kocerek wide 9 system longer than the new guys. Still they do help. Conley on that third down reception from Purdy was key on that last drive.

Hmmm. How many top 10 rush offenses did the Lions face during that season worth of data and how did they fair against them? What we do know is that competition is stiffer in the playoffs.

i can watch these "Americas game" on the 49ers all day long

I remember this drive when it aired! I was like 12 yrs old. Haha. I was thinking, I was not sure if I remember back that far but I do. This clip brought it all back for whatever reason lol. This drive was magical. My eyes were glued to my TV and ya just knew Joe was going to be able to pull it off(especially, with Rice)..there was this feeling you got when watching Joe..trust. Very similar to Purdy. So anyone who wasn't around for the Joe days..the feeling you may feel about Purdy now...it's similar. It's that trust. Ya can't really explain it but it's there.

That is kinda what happened when I watched that 1st SEA game with Purdy, he just had it..it was like I was watching Young again or yeah, even kinda like Montana but it was Young that came to mind first. It was the same thing really, it's just there..I was like..this dude is it man lol. Brock Purdy is going down in NFL history as one of the greats. That was my exact thought. Lol.

But yeah, I fell hard for Joe and Bill haha. Back then, I was like..'Man, Bill is so cool, I wish he was my grandpa or something.' lol, kids. Haha.

That game cemented it for me. I still think it was the best Superbowl ever because you had Walsh and Wyche, best friends, massive love and respect for each side, 91 yard drive to win it, etc. At the end, you see Bengals players just enjoying the moment on the field with their kids, you'd think they won. It was just a perfect game. It encapsulated what sports should be in every way. Epic.

Yeah........A Thomas has been Jekyll and Hyde since he got here. Remember how well he was playing not too long ago? I am hoping he balls out the next 2 games!

If he can stop panicking and on deep shots turn and look for the ball when you are step for step with your assignment and make a play on the ball without chucking the receiver that would be a start. Can't be giving up penalties on third and long to extend drives when it should be a a three and out

Those 90s packer defenses are underrated.

White, Jones, Dotson and massive Gilbert Brown. That line gave us fits.
During the regular season the Lions defense faced only 2 top 10 rushing offenses. BAL and CHI. In those 3 games, they gave up 471 rushing yards on 103 attempts, 5 TD's and 8 rushes of 10+ yards.

Feed McCaffery and Deebo (if available). Make this a clock management game. Keep the ball out of their hands and keep them passing. Our D plays best when Bosa and company can pin their ears back and get after it..... Especially if the Lions are down a couple starters on the O-line.

Can I still chat with you guys since our game is over if it's ok with you guys?

The short answer is yes, but there is a $2 per post fee that has to be made in order to maintain an active acct.

Most outside fans are billed on a monthly cycle, but GB fans are required to setup a prepaid post acct, that requires a minimum acct balance of $500.

The good news is, the payment options are very easy.
You can use Apple Pay or Venmo, or if you prefer you can just post a photo of the front side and back side of you debit card (please add the billing zip code).

Thank you for being a valued poster (as long as there's money in your acct) 👍🍻

I don't agree with this. Ward does better with more straight line physical WRs, St Brown will put him in a blender imo.

Wasn't the knock on the Lions on the second half of the season was that they had a cakewalk schedule?
