49ERS vs Packers Pregame Thread - 2023 Season Divisional Round

it isnt about struggle

bad weather neutralizes talent discrepancies if we were a worse team it would look like we play better in the rain

This is an interesting matchup. Packers are going to come in high off a big win in Dallas. They aren't the favorites so they are playing loose with house money. They're riding a season ending hot streak and their QB is playing well. The Niners are well rested and healthy. I just hope they aren't a little stale.

I can vision Pack leading in 1sr qtr and/or by halftime, then lights out in 2nd half. Niners get warmed up and go on a rampage to lock it up.

Then again, Niners might just do to them what they did to Dallas throughout entire game

Best thing to do between now and the game. Is to stay away from the sports channels and so forth, just let it play out on Saturday. All they (Espn and so forth) do is get 49er fans worked up about what might happen, no one knows. But what i do know is how our 49ers played hard all year and played great competition week in and week out and came out the other side with the 1 seed. So I am just waiting for the game. Only thing I see is the spread Vegas knows what they are doing.

Nick Wright will have to redo his whole NFC Playoff bracket.

He had us losing to the Rams this weekend and then the Rams losing to the Cowboys in the NFC Championship game.

The Niners should be able to get more pressure if AA is back. That being said, Love looked like he has the same type of ability as Purdy when if comes to escaping the initial rush and finding an open receiver.
Just going on social media and listening to our fans….man a lot of us are sounding like scary p***y cats lol.

It's the playoffs and no team is gonna be complete trash….but we're getting the 7th seed at home! They barely made the playoffs. They squeaked by the panthers and Bears. They lost to Tampa and the freaking Giants. The beat a Nick Mullens lead team

People acting like they're some top end team are complete out of touch with who they played.

maybe I'm too confident, but if we can't beat these dudes we have no business going/winning the SB anyway

2 of his 3 TD passes came while under pressure. Love has actually been solid when under pressure this season which is one of the big reasons I picked GB over DAL. I am pretty sure most people thought I was crazy picking GB and HOU this weekend.

Yes, SF are the BIG DOGS. It's as favorable a matchup as we could've asked for in the first round; GB or TB. Now SF just has to take care of business.

Not Houston but Packers yes i did think Dallas would win for sure it would've been my lock pick lol. Those TDs came of cover 0 though didn't they it looked like Love picked up cover 0 and made adjustments so clearly he is skilled enough to read defenses is my point.

Looking at PFF he had 0 sacks 3 !B hits and an AVERAGE of 2.86 seconds to throw so I'm not saying he is not good under pressure but he was not touched all game

Packers offense looked legit though. Their D was super shaky coming into this game hell they even allowed 300 yards to Bryce Young and that offense and a perfect paser rating to Baker Mayfield ( who I do think is a good QB but not amazing by any means), So I'm surprised that they completely shut down the Cowboys offense till garbage time

Honestly, if you asked me which QBs I would want to face in the NFC before the playoffs... I would have ranked them like this. (1 = not concerned at all and 6 = the most concerned)

1. Baker
2. Dak
3. Hurts
4. Goff
5. Love
6. Stafford.

That being said, I expect a win. And GB as a team has the least amount of talent of anyone outside the QB position. Like you said, if we can't beat them, we don't deserve to be in the SB.

GB had WR wide ass open many times versus DAL. There was a stat shown where DAL played with six DBs on a high majority of the snaps. This allowed GB to run the ball effectively and playaction off of that. Love had so much time to survey downfield after he completed the playaction. Stop the run and force Love into traditional dropbacks. See how he does when he can't playaction.

Offensively, run the ball and force GB to over commit resources defending the run. They have been poor defending the run all season. Then work off of that.

Yes. He threw 2 TD's against cover 0. That doesn't negate the fact that he was under pressure when he threw them.

Dak was the Packers' best pass defender and contributed greatly to GB shutting down the DAL passing game. He sucked a fat one.
