Yeah, it's only practice...yeah, it's only preseason. Lance hasn't been impressive while the Raider's rookie QB looks better with less talent & lesser coaching.

Looking forward to a more in depth analysis which will show that abysmal pass protection can affect a QB, especially one learning on the fly.

Who is learning on the fly?

The guy who has thrown less than 600 passes his entire life. Why do you have self-esteem?

It's year 3, this isn't on the fly lol

Book learning will not teach you how to see a defense.

Again, I'm looking forward to the All 22. But even without it, your false expectations are embarrassing. The most anyone should have expected based on that pass protection and the reps that Trey has had ever is maybe a couple more plays made than what we had. I'm quite confident the All 22 will show that.

What's embarrassing is your narrative that it's everybody else's fault. A top pick in year 3 should dominate backups, he's not close to that.

Those sacks were coming in under three seconds. The pressure was coming in under 2 or less. On LONG DEVELOPING PLAYS at least half the time. That isn't on the QB.

You are correct about pass protection. But Trey's 2 bad decisions were very concerning and came on plays where pass pro was holding up.

How is Darnold doing it ? Same back ups.

The average time to throw on the 3rd step of a drop is 2.3 seconds....

A QB is suppose to feel the pressure and get rid of the ball.

To give an example, Purdy's average time to throw is 2.6 seconds......and as we all know that is a QB prone to deeper chunk plays.

He's had a couple good throws so far. Seems to be processing more quickly than Trey so far.

For one Kyle is calling running plays and outs. Not slant after slant
Darold doing what Trey wasnt, getting the ball out quick to the first read
Mason is not looking like himself
