Seems like every year niners get their ass kicked in joint sessions
First team session over. As expected, great practice for the 49ers offense. Denver's reigning #1 defense throwing a lot of interior pressure at SF. Very disruptive so far. The 49ers' biggest success has come when rolling Brock Purdy out (completion to Kittle) and on some nice CMC…

Mykel Williams went down — walked off in his own but very gingerly

Sounds like Shanny asked to have some interior pressure dialed up and got his wish
Jordan Watkins has been one of the best 49ers offensive players today

Best play came on beating Patrick Surtain on a slant in redzone period

Winters was also slow to process. On the good side for him Saleh reduces processing needed by simplifying the scheme.
Saleh did? Where did you read that?
It's not quite what he said but fair enough. It was in one of his pressers the past week. He said that in one of our losses (I can't recall the game-sorry) that he was putting too much on Fred, forcing him to think too much instead of just freely playing. He took the blame for the loss. I think his comment was more on not overloading Fred with commands and options and allow Fred to just relax and play. Some may take that as installing a simpler plan.
Did you click the link I posted from his Jets days? He's known for running a streamlined system. The Jets link was critical because they are saying he wants to put athletes in a position to win but relies on the athletes to win rather than the scheme to win with lesser athletes.
Saleh designs his defense to allow players to read and react quickly so it's considered relatively player friendly. It's one reason his defenses can get more sacks. Some defense force players to be so concerned about where they shoukd be on the field that they often forget that the whole purpose is to get to the ball or the runner.
First move-the-ball drive: Brock Purdy marches the 49ers right down the field against that vaunted Denver defense; 30-yard TD to Ricky Pearsall vs Jahdae Barron. Pearsall also made a first-down catch vs Surtain, CMC nice run and Kittle a big chunk to convert downfield.

Overall today wasn't Brock Purdy's best outing of training camp
— Brad (@Graham_SFN) August 7, 2025
Multiple overthrows and passes that were deflected — also found himself holding the ball longer than he'd like and sacked multiple times

Brock Purdy finds Robinson for six but after holding ball and having to slide left out of the pocket
