the worst leg injuries are no contact

something major just blows out
We just signed the worst corner in the league

Why do they keep signing cheap scrubs.
Hamstring Injuries in TC to our 2 important positions that needs reps and practice in WR and CB.

"in stable condition" makes me think the issue is not a limb but a head or internal issue.

Camp bodies?

Sometimes you bring in a guy that simply knows how to adapt quickly to a new environment in order to have enough bodies on the field.

Apparently he was blocked and collapsed. The only new info was that he could move his limbs which tends to tell me it was some kind of spinal issue. Maybe a stinger in his neck or something. If it was heart, liver, lungs, etc I don't think they would mention that he could move his limbs.

at least with WRs the team has weapons elsewhere and there are WR who could still function in the offense

Green is a make or break player for this secondary imo. He has to be on the field and he has to play well

There is more behind Green than behind Trent Williams :)

Luter and Tre Brown could be functional ... and I think Sigle could play outside CB if needed.

Beginning of camp contract issues, dudes on PUP, another hammy sammich, BP's left nut hurts... what next

Maybe you'll become even more dramatic?

Missed field goals, dudes collapsing then hospitalized, JJ with nagging calf injury and now an Apple named Eli

Well I wasn't comparing OT and CB, just commenting on WR vs CB depth

But also Id point out that

1) We know what the 49ers look like with Trent starting, but Green is not a sure thing even though hes had a solid rookie season
2) We also have seen what 49ers look like without Trent, as he's missed games seemingly every year

If Green is not good, Tre Brown/Lenoir and ... Stout is like the worst cb group in the division by far

Come to think about it, there were only two years in the Kyle tenure they didn't have either Sherman or Ward as outside press corner. The very first year under Kyle and the Ambry Thomas/Josh Norman abomination of 2021.

I think people will realize how good Ward and his reputation has been. All our outside corners will be targeted heavily this season if the line can hold the run.

I've been thinking this for months now. I like Lenoir. I kinda like Green but I absolutely do not trust them enough. I feel like every team needs a lockdown corner and I'm not sure Lenoir is that...yet. I just remember back in the 90's when we had the most complete team in the league, except for corner, and we didn't turn the page until we got Deion. Until then, everything else we did didn't matter cuz Aikman would just pick us apart when he needed to.

Because they don't think anyone that's hurt currently is dealing with something serious to affect them this yr.

Like everyone else, I would have liked to sign Samuel jr (if healthy) but that would cost more and he would be taking over a starter spot for someone that they are assuming will be a projected starter currently.

depth, PS spot for vets and training camp bodies aren't horrible additions.

And Saleh is going to have them up in WRs faces which is what Tre Brown and Stout are best at. We don't know how good or great any of them will be in their new roles including Demo and Green. There are questions in EVERY group on the roster ... this team WILL collapse if the young depth doesn't step up.

Basically the only groups where a young player isn't CRITICAL is QB and TE.
RB Guerendo and James HAVE to be good enough to push CMC to the bench 30% of the snaps or winning in the regular season won't matter.
WR Cowing, Pearsall, Watkins, Bergen, Owens, Neyor, etc.
OL Puni is probably the only critical young player, with Colby next most important.

DL 3/4 of the starters likely to be rookies
LB Winters, Martin, etc.
DB Sigle, Stout, Green
