I really like James as a player. Wouldn't be surprised if he jumps Guerendo depth chart wise and is the #2 RB going into the season

Doubt it unless he's one hell of a receiving back. Guerrendo is the clear #2 if he can stay healthy.

I would be Guerendo was drafted in the 4th round and played pretty well for us. There is a lot for a rookie RB to master and it's hard to see James leaping someone who got starting level reps and performed well with them while the offense was kind of limited due to other injuries.

You can watch any clip of him and see that his pad level is never really low. Yeah we all have PTSD from Kinlaw, I get it lol. Collins' is at least not as high as Kinlaw's. Honestly if you're 6'6 it's very hard to play with pad level low.

a lot depends on pass blocking imo, Mason was not unleashed for a while because of it and it's one area James is not really good at either

Cowing pulled his hamstring before practice smh...need these guys to stay healthy. Hopefully it's nothing major and he's back soon. Was really looking forward to seeing his progress after a big offseason per all reports.

Quick twitch guy pulls hammy at the start of camp. Sun comes up in morning. Gravity causes unsupported things to fall. :)

This. If you can't pass block you are not going to get much time. RB careers have been ended by pass pro failures.
Cow pulled his hamstring doing routes on ait? What in the actual f**k wow this team really is f**king cursed aren't they.

This is VERY common. Particularly for young quick twitch players at the start of camp.

I can't see that at all. Kyle probably has designed Deebo like plays for him this offseason. With that said, its great if we are 3 deep in quality backs again. Back to 2023 levels.

Not sold on Guerendo at all. The guy has terrible vision and would end up running into an O-lineman's ass multiple times.
