Nowhere near the same magnitude of importance, but we've owed the Giants a few BIG hits to their QBs after Jim Burt/Leonard Marshall

Not the fastest, but the same result.
He didn't give up on the play…excellent work by Ferrell in his first game back with very limited prep time. Was hoping he'd jar the ball loose from Dart here but nonetheless really good play by Ferrell.

Don't bring back bad memories, please. ☹?
Montana took some good hits in his time here…those two were some of the biggest and in playoff games, unfortunately.

We need that first round talent Ferrell and not Will Ferrell if we're going to go anywhere this year

He was never a first round talent. Not with that lack of bend, speed, etc. Even at the time, it was thought to be a massive reach. His ceiling is a guy who can be a longterm DE #2. If surrounded by great pass rushers, he will look really good with his high motor/high effort and ability as a run defender. I hope we sign him for two years after this season because I think he can be a solid addition to the DE room. Nick Bosa, Mykel Williams, Bryce Huff, Sam O, and Clelin Ferrell looks pretty good on paper.

In a way, but he cannot play inside and destroy guards. Mykel can.

Nah. Not at all. Mykel Williams has got more AA in him at the present time- very good run defender that can slide inside. Will be developing as a pass rusher. Ferrell is more of a what you see is what you get- high motor guy that can play on base downs and will get effort sacks but rarely will outright beat his man.

Impressive ... criticising ferrell despite his two sacks today....I smell nfl analysts in the room who don't like to EAT CROW

totally agree
cannot understand how any supporter can s**t on a player who comes from greatly contributing to a win of your team

still think him getting injured and out for 2023 was a big blow to that defense. thats when chase young started playing 3 downs on the edge and couldnt set the edge on running downs

Agreed.
1 sack last week, 2 sacks today. If he can keep doubling his sacks every game, he'll have the single season sack record by the end of the season.

He's really playing well. Getting a lot of push and pass rush pressure. Glad we signed him. We are lucky to have him.

More jealous analyst thinking. Its ferrels fault that chase young sucked.
What?
You are forgetting his first season with us where he quietly contributed many run savvy plays and stayed home when other lineman didnt.
