I like the Chris Harris idea. The Commanders DBs were pretty good and more important Harris fits the same mold than Robert Saleh and DeMeco. He seems to have the same "young" energy and enthusiasm. The Defense loves that. And it´s not a bad idea to have a DC more "positive" than Kyle. Kyle can be pretty brutal. I like this balance the team had the last few years.

Since it would be his first time as a DC, he could be more open to Kyle giving input on how to adjust the scheme. Kyle brought in Joe Woods in 2019 to help Saleh expand to more 2 high looks, since Saleh was all about Cover3 when he first came on board. Then Kyle brought in Fangio as an advisor to give DRyans input on how to incorporate more Quarters principles into the scheme. Just a generalization that younger coaches could be more open to changes.

I'm kind of torn between Harris and Wilks. I like Harris for the reasons you stated, but I like that Wilks has experience calling plays and may stick around longer than Chris Harris would assuming that both would be successful here.

If Harris does well with our d he for sure gone after the following, I rather have Wilks due to the experience and there's less of a chance teams would want him to be their HC over younger guys and new heads. Either way I completely trust Kyle to pick the right guy

Interesting aspect. One thing I look at is Steve Spagnuolo. My understanding is he was the NYG HC and the Rams HC and failed both times badly. Teams may go for a retread, but you aren't getting 3 shots most likely. So now Reid has one of the great DCs and he's there every single season, essentially unpoachable. Pretty genius.
Wilks defense gave up 3 td bombs to Brady and Evans to end their post season chances. They have talent there too...

Not saying hes going to be like that here but does make me nervous lol..... if he is the hire I hope he balls out for us though

no HC gig in AZ for Flores

Right, which is worrisome since Evans went off for 200 yards but I believe that was Al Holcomb calling the plays on defense since Wilks had taken on interim HC duties. Holcomb was the interim DC and was DC in Arizona for the year that Wilks was HC.

Also acting like a couple bomb TDs from Brady to another HOFer in Evans is the end all is kinda being dramatic
