Show me where I said that. I was the one saying that Purdy was better than Jimmy back in October and some of you were mad about that back then. Now you're on the Purdy bandwagon, but if you weren't pro-Purdy back in October then you don't don't deserve to root for him in January.

I was pro-Purdy in September. Obviously nobody on the face of the earth knew he was this good, or claiming he should start.

I was claiming he should start over Jimmy (though that was pre-CMC and Jimmy did look moderately better once CMC came in).

LOL he had a great season, his best and the to 5 numbers in all the important QB categories state that to be true. People might hate the QB that re-energized this once proud franchise and made us relevant in the NFL again, but I will always give him his props and a huge thanks. The man changed the career paths of both the GM and HC, not to mention fellow players.

I love watching Purdy play because he is a young pre acl injury Jimmy which is the perfect QB to run our offense. Why someone else, and I'm not sure Kyle was a part of it, wanted a different type of QB remains a mystery to me.

We have 30 points in the 3rd quarter. How many do you think we should have right now? 40? 50?

The defense has forced 3 turnovers in their territory. That doesn't make it difficult to put up 31 points. The second half has been better, but the first half was very inefficient, which is what I'm talking about.

Offense has scored on 6/9 drives. So should it be 7/9? 8/9? 9/9? Tell us what's good so we know when it's okay to celebrate and not cry like little girls.

It's easy to score on 6/9 drives when you're starting in their territory.

This is why people give you a hard time.

First you were bemoaning a lack of yards for Purdy but now you're dismissing the points scored because of short fields.

Do you think short fields maybe limits available yards?

You're not criticizing, you're looking for negatives even when those negatives conflict with each other.

He wants all our drives to start at our own 1 yd line. Then wants Purdy to prove he can do 99 yard TD drives racking up 500 yds passing in the process

The biggest problem with debates here and just in general is the temptation to misrepresent and exaggerate the opponents point and then argue against that point that no one made.

The "points" you make are intellectually dishonest though. "Purdy has gotten worse each game." You simply can't be taken seriously at this point. So people have just resorted to treating your posts like those from a cartoon character.

No, what's dishonest is arguing against a point using events that hadn't happened yet at the time the point was made. I said he had played worse each game after the Raiders game, which was true both statistically and just via the eye test. It was a point that was made not just by me but by a lot of different analysts that watch the film. Today, he's played better, starting late in the 2nd quarter, so you're using that to invalidate a point I made before that occurred. That's dishonest.
