Kyle and John have built a team that the defence has to hold teams to under 2 scores for a chance to win. This team in not built to outscore anyone. So when the D faulters a bit the wheels come off and we look dysfunctional. You will not win consistently in todays NFL with 2 scores a game. Which is exactly what we have seen with Kyles record. We have to many skilled players on Offense to be this bad at it. So what is it, the coaching? They players? The NFL? Only one group is really accountable for it.

Kyle had to get out of the hole at the 1 yard line first. When the offense got to the 20, you can see we started hitting Aiyuk and that holding call hurts

Worst thing about he niners losing is that missing posters last couple weeks will now show their face to continue their narratives.
Kyle and Jimmy threads will be s**t shows this week
I've been trying to show Jimmy credit. I'm sure I'll be called a Jimmy hater in future weeks though. He played well given the limited possessions, drops, and penalties.

Our offense just needs to be better.
Unfortunately, with the injuries, so does the defense. That 3rd and 13 at the end of the half that ended up turning into a TD really changed things.
Is that the one where Marioota scrambled for the 1st down?
yes. He is right. A big stop there changes the course of the game.

Too many penalties on that drive at bad moments.

There was no sense of urgency all game long with the defense. They got trucked from the start. They had no answer. They could not stop Atlanta.

Yeah that was a turning point for the D. After that they just couldn't do anything else. To top that off, neither could the offense. This is the disappointing thing, the offense is only elite on paper

We probably have the slowest hurry up offense in the league.

Not having our run-stoppers really changed the complexion of this game, which aided ATL in their run game.
We gave up nearly 170 yards rushing today...
This was the biggest key.
It made it simple and easy on their QB as a result.
What makes our defense lethal....is/was our ability to keep our dline fresh and switching people out. But with the whole starting dline out... there wasn't going to be enough rest for the backups.
You are also asking the backups to be great run defenders the whole game... there is a reason they are backups and not starting for other teams in the league. Situational players and young players still developing.

Well, in the bizarro world that's also reality, Daniel Jones just led the Giants to 5-1, Trubisky seals the win with a Brady sneak, Jets beat the Pack, etc.
