Yup, those swing C-OG-OTs, also known as "COGOTs" are Purdy hard to find.
We had a helluva draft/ FA/ trade/ UDFA last yr, but right now …it looks like we topped last yrs "talent acquisitions".

soo who gets cut?
The 49ers have waived RB Trey Sermon.

and there it is
and watch him being back to the PS soon because nobody will claim him
Since he's a third round pick, I'd say he for sure is getting claimed
Your draft slot means nothing if you suck. Your backfield must be horrific if you're claiming Trey Sermon.
Of course your draft slot means a lot bc you are very talented. Plus he's only been in the nfl for 1 year and that's why teams with good grades on him will actually use context in judging him. Could be the wrong system or needs more time to develop.
I do think a lot of players, if they are in the right system, will have a much better chance at making the 53 - if they are fortunate enough to land on a team that matches his talents. Sermon may be better on teams with slower developing run plays that block man more than zone. This is a sideways one cut and go system. By the 3rd step - see the hole, hit the hole. Sermon just wasn't seeing anything in this system.
Exactly…..You are Giedi master
more like a Padawan compared to most of you guys on the Webzone.

Great point!
I think there's a chance MM goes on IR if he's still Gimpy after the PRP procedure. I think Brunskill will be ready- his issue was (I think) just a hammy problem. MM's problem is much deeper.

RT depth
MM
Brunskill
Hance
McKivitz
I feel much better then a week ago. Confident we can protect well enough to establish the run and then blend in play action. I for one can't wait to see Trey run the ball. I wanna see how athletic he is. I have not yet

That's not a bad group. Like you said,'we're in a much better spot than week ago. I think Burford will be our starting RT as soon as next season. The one guy we can't afford to lose on the O-Line though is obviously Trent Williams. Not only is he by far our best Offensive Lineman (arguably the best in all of football) but we have nothing behind him at the critical LT position. I was hoping Jaylon Moore would have emerged as a quality backup swing tackle In year 2 but instead he's regressed and doesn't even look like a competent backup NFL Offensive Lineman right now.

If we've learned anything over the years, we're going to tap into OL6 and OL7. I feel great about OL6 if/when healthy but OL7? And that's assuming OL2-5 are playing well and won't need to be replaced.

Pretty much the same story across the league. I doubt that even half the league have supreme confidence in their 7th O-Lineman @ this juncture of the season (where everyone is 0-0).
Nothing noteworthy.

He played there last year at Cleveland but didn't fare well as a pass protector.
