yeah, they have a similar style. Romo was really good, outside of the playoffs.

I'd be good with Tony Romo mixed with better playoff performances because of less pressure to have to win the game on your own.

At this point any pro bowl caliber performance might do.

I think there is a good chance he makes the pro bowl, if he keeps it up. The NFC is weak right now QB wise. So as long as he keeps it up, he should be fine.

Here's hoping. A 2 decade drought for this team is too long.
All I gotta say is LFG! HYPED for this season! Been praying for the Purdster and hope all goes great!!! I can't believe Aiyuk dropped that s----t LOL
It was indeed 🌶. Outside of the damn drop. Lol. Then Brock took the hit and said it was worth it, even with the drop! Just to show he is 100% 🔥 lol
STRAIGHT F-G 🔥 LFG NINERS whoooooooooo
Lol it's not even preseason but screw it..LET'S GOOOOOO

The 0-blitz 3rd and 10 to Kittle was the moment where I was like "OK, maybe we have something here!"

This is the one and should be #1. He knows he's going to get crushed, had to get it out quickly and accurately. No room for hesitation or error.

I agree..Purdy has such great ball placement. Amazing he was a rookie. Have not seen this type of pass to let the receivers run away, since I don't know maybe Garcia.

It's kind of depressing when you look at the rich history of the 49ers, QB wise, then you look at the last 20 years. Lol so much mediocrity and wasted potential. So much "shoulda, coulda, woulda". I just want a damn franchise qb for the first time in my life. Lol I was too young to enjoy Steve young.

the best qb play I've seen as a fan was from jimmy, which is a sad thing. Lol I'm a fan of his but I also understand he wasn't special. I want special so damn bad

Fun fact, Brock said that he was only able to do that because of his off season work with his private coaches. They worked on stuff like getting it out in those situations. He's back with them right now 😎

He handles pressure so well and handles big pressure moments well too. One of my favorite moments was brock with his back against his own goaline on a 3rd down in seattle threw a strike to move the chains. Can't wait to see him under pressure moments in the playoffs.
Yes he can make the Pro Bowl like the articles suggest. If he stays healthy all 17 games he probably will. We can go deep in the playoffs too.

You also have to look at the coaches we've had during those 20 years too. It's no coincidence that Harbaugh was the best coach we had from Mariucci to Kyle. With Harbaugh we saw Kaep shine until the roster purged.

QBs need good coaching. They just do. You're not going to have a franchise QB if you're hiring the Mike Nolans, Singletary and the Tomsulas of the world.

IMO you have to look at our coaches before we start questioning our lack of a "FQB" (hate that term)

Totally agree... if there is no scheme and philosophy how do QBs learn. When Harbaugh and Kyle have been here there is a consistent philosophy. A Smith is the perfect example of that

Agree with most of this but Kap got figured out for the QB he was and if AB wasn't there it would of been a year sooner. The purge did not help but there was an entire season where it was either run or look it down to AB. It's the same with all our QBs at this point (excluding Darnold), the league is just getting enough film on them and probably doesnt have enough yet on either of our top 2. After 16 games on film if the QB still balls out, we got something... till then we just have a hot hand tbph.

Kaeps 2013 and 2014 numbers were virtually the same. Both those seasons under Harbaugh.

Then enter Tomsula in 2015. Purged roster and Chip Kelly in 16.

I'm not trying to say Kaepernick was great. I just don't think he got "figured out". He lost his coaching.

Not just the coaching, but look at who he was throwing to. That skill position players in 2016 were mediocre to awful, but mostly awful.

100%. Can't believe Aiyuk dropped it lol

Sidenote. I was watching some Tony Romo clips. Purdy resembles him a lot when it comes to their style of play

Ya I can see that for sure. I think he's a bit more agility, but just a tad bit less of arm strength.
