I'd do it in a heartbeat then turn that pick into Will Anderson Jr of Alabama!!

Nope. I would trade Trey Lance though because he has yet to prove he can excel in Shanahan's offense.

Ok, but Houston has 2nd and 12th. I'd trade Purdy for both of those picks. I'd do it in a heartbeat then turn that pick into Will Anderson and Cam Smith of Carolina!!

None of those picks are a guarantee. What we saw from Brock Purdy was no fluke. No way we let a real chance at having a FQB walk out of the building.

Dude is lashing out because someone is trolling in the Lance thread. If you look at the most recent page in that thread, he even admits as much. It's a shame the whole forum has to see this stuff.

I really encourage you to examine why you're having this reaction, allowing that small group of posters to get in your head this way. Or just keep the tantrum rolling...whatever seems like a good use of your Sunday afternoon.

Agree, if Kyle can continue to work on more getting durable players. Super Bowl is up there in possibilities next year!

I think we go next year with a chance to win. I hate to face Mahomes. It's probably Mahomes or Burrow. But we have a chance anyway. Either way.

With Brock its definitely a winnable game either way.

The offseason draft and free agency will be a critical development for which the 2023 season will rest on. If they keep that defense strong, they should have a chance against any team in the NFL, as long as you have Brock playing QB.

I just got caught up with my reading in the Trey Lance thread. 4ML is entitled to his opinion. He asked a question and I answered it.

Honestly, I wouldn't trade Trey either this off season. We have two young promising QB's for at least the next 2 seasons together. As 49er fans, we should see having not 1 but 2 talents at the QB position as invaluable. Chances are both will have another opportunity to build their stock over the next year or two. If they both look good under Shanahan, both their stock values go up and that is a win-win for the 49ers. Hopefully we win a SB along the way as well.
we have another Jimmy G...Alex, Jimmy, Trey and now BCB.

Stop being reasonable. This forum runs on divisive opinions.

With the flack that the hardcore Trey crowd has gotten for foolishly wanting Jimmy gone ASAP last offseason, you would think the other side would do better and value having 2 potential starting QBs on the roster. We need all the QBs we can get.

Boom. Exactly. There is no reason to trade either one or hate on either one. Obviously I won't trade Brock and I wouldn't trade Trey either. We let them compete and see what they can do on the field over a 2 year period. They should both be on the roster till at least trade deadline of 2024.

This is the weirdest thing i have read. Yea. Lets have a two year qb competition. So we can ruminate on all the subtleties. Lol.

Yeah, don't think he's talking about a 2 year competition. But over the course of the next 2 years, while they're both on rookie deals, it would be short sighted to get gif of either of them. 1 will start, the other backup. Either way we're n great position.

It only doesn't makes sense when you don't want either of them and want Jimmy to be QB forever.

I doubt either one of them is going to get a big haul anyways. Most would see Purdy as a system guy coming off a tough injury. Lance just has as a bad rap right now.

We really should just let this play out. Start the year off with Lance due to Purdy's injury and if we have to make the change we have to make the change.
