It's either be out a year or 6 months.
He is also thinking long term health. Will he lose or gain any arm strength etc etc. .

He's not a pitcher, he doesn't need TJ. The repair is all he needs for a QB.

I hope next year is a good season for us, but as of now, we have ZERO guaranteed starting quarterbacks. Not the position we should like to be in.

Realistically, it's more likely to be a long season and we'll be lucky to sniff the playoffs. Perhaps 2024 will be our bounce back season.

Jimmy has us by the balls, if we want to sign him as interim QB1 to keep the seat warm until Brockstar is ready he is going to cost us a bundle... would like to see Jimmy back as QB2 and trade Lunch Trey for whatever scrap heap value we can get but, but only time will tell

Yes, that's what he said on KNBR today.

Brock just proved how limited Jimmy was.

He'll be ready for training camp

These timeframes just seem fantasy. A DR was on radio and said if Tommy it is a year period. That means complete loss of 2023 season. No start throwing in three months. No ready in 6 months. That's probably the holdup. He's possibly being told to go the long road direction but he understands that is a total 2023 wash.

Imagine being a Cinderella story and everyone knows your name to potentially disappearing from the landscape and being irrelevant again for at least a year. And to hope you come back as before. It must be a cruel shocking reality for him.

Gotta say this guy's toughness he seems to have is pretty inspiring tbh.

Yeah that would be my guess. The reconstruction probably carries the best long term outcome.

True. But he is still much better than Lance

I heard Brock say he was looking for another opinion and that he wasn't sure which surgery he would have or whether he would just let it heal on it's own.Of it's completely torn as the reports say, how can it heal on it's own? Is Brock just being optimistic?

He's in the denial phase. Let's give the man a couple of days to process what happened to him.

Well, perhaps, but he (or anyone else for that matter) would be a fool not to seek a 2nd opinion. Only time this gets to be an issue is when you got a guy who wants a 2nd, then a 3rd , then a 4th…etc…which complicates things more than getting closer to a solution….but a 2nd opinion? Absolutely necessary. When you add in the NFL money consideration, a 2nd opinion just has to be done.

Huge decision to make. Rush back to reclaim the top spot asap? Or rest on your laurels and come back as healthy as possible?

Just get quickest work done to get on the field. What do you need an elbow for after football? The time is now!

Based on my understanding, a repair is not a Tommy. And it is not "worse" than a Tommy long term.
