Same goes for Rodgers before he enters the convo.
Rodgers is out, he's $50M plus we would need to trade picks we don't have. We have to get Brady can't risk Purdy's healing taking longer than anticipated.
And again:
Packers. Will. Not. Trade. Rodgers. Within. The.

...get well soon Brock
f**k that, he stinks.
Annnnd that's one of the reasons it's locked. Bunch of experts that have already decided on what he is and will be after a couple of games
Trolls ruin everything
Irony is trolls are allowed on the Jimmy thread but don't we dare say anything negative about Trey being the least accomplished of the 1st round QB's in his class.
He also played the least of the 1st round QBs in his class. Last I checked, that would be the way to accomplish things

So TJ surgery is the magical cure for his weak arm strength? Is that the positive we should be seeing???
As I keep saying and thinking - we are cursed. What the heck did we do to deserve this? Finally a light at the end of the tunnel and upward trajectory and boom…all taken away.

On the flip side, at least there's a large sample size of 8 years of experience for Jimmy.
Anyone who acts like Trey is Josh Allen or Jamarcus Russell is full of poop.

This really does feel like a joke. Really have to hope he recovers well. Can't believe it.

What have you seen from him in his starts that leads you to think otherwise. Brock ran the offense better than Trey or Jimmy and had less time in it. So...........
I simply haven't seen enough to make a judgement one way or the other. If QBs were judged and kicked to the curb after a handful of games in the history of this sport; a s**t ton of Hall of Famers wouldn't be there
Maybe. But Brock was great from snap one and you could actually see it. I haven't seen that swagger in a long time from a 49er QB. Apprehension and indecision, sure, but not in Brock.

This is also why we should never question a player's toughness post-injury.

Brock Purdy came back and threw two passes with a torn UCL. Tough MFer.
Purdy played in college with broken ribs and high ankle sprains and refused to come out so it was wild seeing people questioning his toughness when as it turns out, he had completely torn his UCL.

Ok dude what have Zach Wilson or Justin Fields accomplished? Zach hasn't done a damn thing and he sucked so bad he got benched.

Also Reggie Bush is a f**king moron.
I don't care if the QB has a damn injury it's the NFC Championship he better start throwing left fu**ing handed then we don't have time for boo boos! Pat Mahomes was on one leg last week and he still got the job done

6 months is great news guys. He's back for training camp and a run next year. If it was a year we were in big trouble

Jake Delholmme was the most recent that I could find in 2007...became a career backup journeyman after the surgery and only played a few more years. Rob Johnson had the surgery in 2004 and he never played another snap of football despite sticking around the league for a couple more years.
It doesn't sound good considering Purdy wasn't known as a strong armed guy to begin with
Delhomme started for two years after the surgery, playing into his mid 30s and claimed that his throwing velocity actually improved afterwards.
He had a 18-13 record with 25 TDs and 37 INTs in his last 31 starts
So he returned to normal after the surgery...
Previous 60 starts. 35-25 record. 89 TDs & 58 INTs.
yeah so he is averaging roughly an interception per start before and after surgery.
I think the injury---decline of Muslim Mohuammad or Steve Smith or whoever their WR was that year was at least a part of the issue. I have to look it up, but their main guy was like 50 years old.
The point being we are not talking Joe Montana to Delholmme type regression the QB was always lower middle of the pack type QB.
